INTRODUCTION TO CARDIAC NURSING
The focus is to improve patient outcome through high quality service delivery with confidence in
cardiovascular nursing has led to the development of Introduction to Cardiac Nursing (ICN). This four
months fulltime course is developed to provide new nurses who have just attained their diploma in
Nursing and Medical Assistant (ma) with continuous learning opportunities and guidance to help them
adjust and adapt to the complexity of the cardiovascular and thoracic care environment.
Support and mentorship for these novice nurses and MA’s are critical components of safety and quality
in maintaining patient outcomes.
