The goal of this method is to emphasize on listening and speaking which often called the oral ability (Richard & Rodgers, 2003). This kind of method is the implementation of behaviorism learning theory which using the stimulus and response to drill the students and the result that will be given by the teacher is the reinforcement (positive and negative reinforcement). The special characteristic that distinguish this method to another method is that dialogue and training or drilling. Dialogue is the tool to communicate the word structure and illustrate the situation then the students are instructed to repeat and remember those aspects by stressing on pronunciation. The characteristic of this method are: 1. The students enable to use the target language. 2. The vocabulary and language structure communicated by dialogue and the students need to imitate and repeat it. 3. Stress on repetition, backward build up, chain, substitution, transformation, question and answer. 4. Grammar is learnt inductively. 5.
