Where Am I From? Project
Since our class is all about Geography, I thought it would be great to
start the year off with a small project about the country you are originally
from. Your job is to make a poster or multimedia presentation describing
your country of birth. A good resource to use to find helpful information is
the CIA world fact book, which I will show you in class.
Your poster and/or multimedia presentation should include the following
information and address each question:
1. Name of country
2. Continent on which your country is located
3. Approximate population of your country
4. Largest city (most populated)
5. The name of one major river
6. One major mountain range from your country
7. The highest point of elevation in your country
8. Do any oceans/major bodies of water surround your country, or is it
landlocked (surrounded by land)?
9. Are there any deserts or rainforests in your country? If so, what are they? If
not, what kind of terrain is there?
10. One (1) picture/drawing of your country’s flag and at least three (3)
pictures/drawings that accurately represent your country (all pictures/drawings
must include some color).
* On the day your poster/presentation is due, you will be presenting them
to the class!*
