Job Summary:
This position will provide full time EMS support to all the factories in Palmal group and will ensure that all practices are in compliance with DoE, Buyers COC and Local & International regulatory requirements. The position will be responsible for overall EMS monitoring but not limited to Energy, Water, Wastage, Air
Emission applications, Waste Water & Chemical Management.
Key Responsibilities
1.
To conduct self-assessment on HIGG Index 3.0 (Facility Environment Module, FEM-3) Guide & develop respective factories as per HIGG Index (Social & Environment Module).
2.
Oversee daily activities of EMS team members to maintain environmental management system
(EMS).
3.
Check & Validate STEP data of H&M as Supplier Unit (SU) responsible.
4.
Implementation of Chemical Management system (Purchase to Disposal) as per the requirements like
ZDHC, Detox, BCMP Guidelines.
5.
Responsible for testing and Monitoring of ZDHC Waste Water test for all wet processing units and updating the same in ZDHC gateway.
6.
Conduct periodic internal audits announce/un-announce basis to ensure that compliance procedures are followed and reporting on the same.
7.
Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
8.
Develop, implement, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the
Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
9.
Report and Interact to Management about the impacts of various environment pollution parameters and means of controlling the same as per Buyers requirements.
10.
To ensure the inspection and testing of monitoring work (Noise Assessments, Air quality, ODS
Inventory, Waste Water Quality, etc.) according to the schedule.
11.
Monitor and develop all policies and procedures regarding Environment, Health & Safety.
12.
Management of hazardous Chemicals with all applicable regulations.
13.
Training on chemical Management & Environmental awareness among the staffs & workers.
14.
Internal control of the Effluent Treatment Plant. Also, testing and monitoring of the ETP and prepare the reports of measurements of the internal monitoring.
15.
Preparing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report and Environmental Management Plan
(EMP) report.
16.
Maintain Good liaison with Buyers & stack holders.
The job holder will be agreed with his/her supervisor to execute any additional responsibility relevant to the job for the interest of the department or organization as and when necessary.
