Compound-Complex
Compound-Complex sentences are sentences
made up of 2 or more independent clauses
and 1 or more dependent clauses.
2 ind + 1 dep= compound-complex
Examples
1. Myra went to the store, and she bought some
milk because her family did not have enough
for their cereal.
Basically….
Acompound-complex sentence is just a
compound sentence (that’s the compound
part) with a dependent clause stuck on it
(that’s the complex part).
Ex. Since they had nothing better to do, Mike
and Angela took their dogs to the park, and
they taught them to catch Frisbees.
