Observing Physical and Chemical Properties of Matter
Purpose:
Will observing the physical and chemical properties of matter be useful to classify
matter?
To observe reactions of different white substances with different liquids, to
determine the properties based on the changes that may happen.
To learn how to describe the physical properties of substances, identify physical and
chemical changes, and classify the substances by their chemical properties.
Hypothesis:
If white matter undergoes a chemical change then it has the chemical property of
reactivity.
If there is a chemical reaction with the white substances then the white substances
have the chemical property of reactivity.
If a chemical change is not observed then the white matter underwent a physical
change.
