Newton’s 3rd Law of Motion
Newton’s third law states that every motion has an
opposite reaction, equal in strength and opposite
direction.
Examples:
 Throwing a ball on the ground or the wall makes the
ball come in the opposite direction but with the same
strength
 When pushing a wall the wall exerts a force in the
opposite direction with the same strength; that’s why it
doesn’t move
 When you run you exert a downward force on the
ground, the ground exerts an upward force with the
same strength
