HOW TO MAKE A VIDEO LECTURE BY CAMTASIA 9.0
Step 1: Preparations:




Prepare the contents of the video lecture. practice teaching with it, using
Microsoft PowerPoint (2016 version is recommended).
Prepare the preferable background colour: Green (it can be the green board/
curtain/wall…).
Devices: phone, camera, ...
Installing necessary soft wares: Camtasia 9 on your PC/laptop
Step 2: Making a PowerPoint slide video:

After preparing a complete PowerPoint lecture.
Click File in the left corner of the screen and select Export
Select where to save the video and then click Save
Step 3: Making your direct lecture video:

Using a camera or phone with a high resolution camera (at least 720p)
Stand opposite the camera and make the video in a quiet soundproof
room to avoid noise
Note: The colour of the speaker’s clothes shouldn’t be the same with
the colour of the background
Step 4: Splitting and merging backdrops for 2 videos by Camtasia 9.0
4.1. Click Import Media and select the videos which need to edit (PowerPoint
lectures video and direct lecture video)
4.2. After selecting two videos, drag them down the editing pane
4.3. Click on the video that you are standing to teach in the editing pane and start
adjusting the size, using white buttons in the four video angles to align or you can
use the scale tool on the right side of the screen
4.4. Start removing the video background, from the video in the above step, click on
Visual Effects on the left side of the screen, then select Remove a Color, drag the
remove color section to the video
4.5. Click on Color on the right side of the screen, select the color of the background
you want to remove then click on the pen icon to proceed to remove the background.
4.6. After removing the background, the video will be inserted into the lecture as
follows:
4.7. Save the project to edit later, click the Share button and complete the steps,
then click Finish and wait for the video to be rendered.
4.8. After all, we have a final product as follows:
