Classifying Organisms Poster Activity Domains 1. Start on the Domains side of the poster. This side is divided into three sections (the three domains): Domain Bacteria, Domain Archaea, and Domain Eukarya. 2. Take the organisms out of the envelope labeled organisms. 3. Sort them into the correct domains. Call your teacher over once you have them sorted. 4. If they are sorted correctly, copy their names onto the table. 5. After you have copied down their names, list the traits that they share in common onto the table. 6. When you are done, take the organisms off of the poster and flip it over to the kingdoms side. Kingdoms 1. This side of the poster is divided into six Kingdom sections 2. kingdoms. This part will only be looking at the kingdoms in the Eukarya domain. The kingdoms are: Kingdom Archeabacteria, Kingdom Eubacteria, Kingdom Protista, Kingdom Fungi, Kingdom Plantae, and Kingdom Animalia. 3. Sort the organisms into the correct kingdoms. The organisms that go in the Kingdom Bacteria and Kingdom Archaea can be put back into the envelope. Call your teacher over once you have them sorted. 4. If they are sorted correctly, copy their names onto the table. 5. After you have copied down their names, list the traits that they share in common onto the table. 6. When you are done, put the organisms back into the envelope.
