It is considered the most important source for financing the GasReg Activities
According To Law
The Gas Regulator has the right to issue licenses for each activity separately for a certain Fees
related to gas quantities , These fees have a maximum of 0.1 US dollars per cubic meter , and
are collected in Egyptian pounds, according to regulations and the rules issued from the Gas
Reg.
A methodology has been adapted for calculating the license fees for the first year which is
the sum of multiplying the gas quantities for each licensee by the approved fee by the board.
the approved fees for the first year are as follows:
Transmission …… 0.057 Cent/MMBTU
Shipping ……....... 0.031 Cent/MMBTU
Distribution ……. 0.023 Cent/MMBTU
Supplying ……….. 0.008 Cent/MMBTU
