Louis Riel the Hero Louis Riel is a historical figure and is considered a hero among others and is often described as the person who sided with the Aboriginals to help establish a social standing. He has done many things for the Aboriginals including voicing opinions for them as an EnglishFrench speaking lawyer. Many other sources state that Riel is a coward and isn’t worthy to be named a hero, stating that he fled to the United States after losing the war and accomplishing nothing. Louis Riel was arrogant and does not deserve to be called a hero. Louis Riel Bibliography: Stanley, George F.G. "Louis Riel." The Canadian Encyclopedia. N.p., n.d. Web. 03 Mar. 2017.
