Duties and Responsibilities
This position will provide CAD support on Substation and Transmission projects. Responsibilities include easy to
moderate CAD assignments involving some independent judgment to determine a course of action consistent
with the project and WorleyParsons requirements and procedures. Familiar with basic engineering and/or
design/drafting concepts. Has general understanding of other disciplines' roles in the design process. Ability to
complete tasks in accordance with project procedures, applicable codes and/or standards, on schedule and
within budget. Able to discuss routine technical problems and communicate effectively with immediate supervisor
and other project personnel.
Works in a team environment, takes direction from the lead designer and/or engineer, and creates project
drawings,including physical and electrical designs. Responsible for the quality assurance of the documents to
the applicable drawing standards and responsible for the proper document management procedures are
followed.
Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment required with ability to also
work independently on more varied and complex tasks when required. Typically will interface with other
departmental staff, project management, and with outside customers. Willing to travel and to accept field
assignments preferred.

What you will bring
Experience and Qualifications
Associates Degree in EET with CAD training, or an Associates Degree in CAD with additional training in electrical
circuits and theory preferred
5-7 years relevant discipline related design experience. Computer literate and proficient in AutoCAD and
MicroStation.
Special Job Requirements
Ability to work in a team environment with excellent interpersonal skills on multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills; accuracy and attention to detail; commitment to meeting budgets and
schedules all required.
This is a casual assignment to support CAD peak work loads as required.
Technical and Industry Experience
Effective technical and practical electrical design and drafting skills ability to consistently deliver quality,
accurate and timely work to WorleyParsons and its clients.
Experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
Competent skills in design software.
Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
Required:
