Registration
Required Registration of Regular Semester
Required Registration concerns the number of regular semesters that must be
registered (Paying a tuition fee) to graduate.
School year for each degree program
-
Undergraduate (Ordinary) : 4 years
Undergraduate (Architecture) : 5 years
Undergraduate (Pharmacy/Medicine) : 6 years
Master (General/Professional Graduate School): 2 years
Ph.D. (General/Professional Graduate School): 2 years
Combined Master-Ph.D. (General/Professional Graduate School): 4 years
Master (Special Graduate School): 2 years and 6 months

※ The remaining research semester(s) shall be waived if a student is conferred a degree before the last research semester starts.
※ Among students who have already paid 4 consecutive times of research semester can register additional research semester if
they want to maintain the status of research student. Those who are participating in national R & D projects (eg BK) must

Registration
A student must register for regular or research semesters (Graduate students
only) by paying the relevant fees in a timely manner.
Tuition Payment
- Enrolled students: find the tuition invoice in the GLS and pay it by visiting a local
bank or by transferring the funds to a designated virtual bank
account during the payment period.
- Re-entering students : make a re-entry request, then find the tuition invoice in the
GLS and pay it by visiting a local bank or by transferring the
funds to a designated virtual bank account during the payment
period.
Payment Period
- Spring semester : Feb.19.(Mon)~Feb.23.(Fri), Mar.7.(Wed)~Mar.9.(Fri)
- Fall semester : Aug.20.(Mon)~Aug.24.(Fri), Sep.5.(Wed)~Sep.7.(Fri)
Payment Methods
① Bank transfer : the billed tuition fee can be transferred to a designated virtual bank
account (Available during bank business hours, 09:00~16:00)
② Bank visit : visit a local bank for tuition fee payment (Woori, KB, Shinhan, NH)
③ Credit card : tuition can be paid on the Woori Card Company website. Only Woori card
is accepted(Available during card company business hours, 09:00-22:00)
④ Electronic banking service : some local banks’ online finance services may be used
(KB, Shinhan, NH).(9:00~17:00)

Tuition Fee Installment
- A student may file a tuition fee installment application on the GLS to pay their tuition
fee in multiple installments. Two or four tuition fee installments are available.

Payment
Schedule
※ A student shall be subject to involuntary disenrollment due to overdue tuition fee payment if he/she does not
make a payment for each installment fee in a timely manner; in this case, the paid tuition fee is not
refundable.
If a student wants to request a leave of absence while they are paying tuition fee installments,
he/she needs to pay all of the remaining installments.
- A student in research semester or who is a loan applicant is not permitted to apply for
tuition fee installments
Extra Regular Semester Registration
If a student does not fulfill the credit requirements for graduation by the end of a
prescribed number of regular semester registrations, he/she may register for extra
semesters to acquire more credits. Tuition fees for extra semesters will be
charged in proportion to the number of credits registered for.
Tuition Fee Payment
- After the completion of course registration, a student needs to make a request via the
GLS during the application period.
They can issue an invoice with an amount
calculated by the number of credits registered after his/her request is approved by the
administrative office.

Research Semester Registration
A student who has completed General Graduate School, a Ph.D. in Professional
Graduate School, or a combined Master/Ph.D. course is required to register the 4
consecutive research semesters to prepare a thesis and pass the thesis submission
qualifying examination.
Eligible Students
- A student who has completed the General Graduate School, Ph.D. in the Professional
Graduate School, or a Master/Ph.D. combined course
How to Pay the Fees
- The fees need to be paid in 4 consecutive semesters. If any remains to be paid, a
student is not allowed to apply for the thesis submission qualifying examination and
thesis examination/defense.
- A student needs to contact the administrative office for the payment of fee arrears.
- Among students who have already paid 4 consecutive times of research semester can
register additional research semester if they want to maintain the status of research
student. Those who are participating in national R & D projects (eg BK) must register for
research semester. (Contact : Research Support Team)
Fee Waiving
- Fees can be waived if you meet all of the graduation requirements before finishing the
prescribed research semester registration.

Payment Period
- Fees can be paid in the same payment period of the regular semester.
A student
needs to contact the administrative office if he/she intends to pay the fees after the
payment period.
Fee Installment, Loan, and Scholarship
- The research semester registration fees are not tuition, and therefore no financial aid,
tuition fee installment program, or student loan service will be available for research
registration.
Course Registration During the Research Semester
- A student who has completed his/her course is not allowed to register for another
course, but they can register for one class during the research semester for the
preparation of their thesis.
