VOCATIONAL SERVICE — ROTARY’S FIRST CONCEPT
• Rotary was started for business reasons and professional
purposes.
• Paul Harris had the unusual idea that friendship and
business might mix and result in even more business!
• the constitution of the Chicago Rotary Club, written in
January of 1906, stated two objects of Rotary. The first was
“The promotion of the business interests of its members.”
The second object was the concept of friendship
• In all of our earliest days, Vocational Service was clearly the
primary focus of Rotary.
• Two separate directions of this unique business emphasis of
early Rotarians.
• The first, could be categorized as “Rotarians helping each
other.”
• Second “The members of Rotary were expected to
patronize each others businesses, and recommend their
fellow Rotarians to their friends and relatives”
Rotary Means Business Fellowship
• Rotary Fellowships are international groups that share
a common passion. Being part of a fellowship is a fun
way to make friends around the world, explore a
hobby or profession, and enhance your Rotary
experience.
• Rotary Means Business (RMB) is a Fellowship of
Rotary International approved by RI board 2013.
Having the presence all over the world.
Rotary Means Business Fellowship
• This Rotary Fellowship shall operate in compliance
with Rotary International’s policies for Rotary
Fellowships, but it shall not be an agency of, or
controlled by, Rotary International.
• Having the chapters across the globe, with our
initiative more than 10 chapters formed in India.

Host Club

First general body Meeting
Hold the First General Body meeting to
finalise the By laws, Election of Office
bearers, Board of Directors, Subscription
fees, Chapter Rules, Calendar for the
Term, Launch & Installation Day .
Regular Meetings
Typically, the Chapter meets once every
fortnight by 8 am. Meetings last for 2
hours. In every meeting couple of
Rotarians get opportunity to present in
detail about their Vocation.

The purpose of the fellowship is Success in

Attendance:
Attendance is compulsory in the RMB meeting However
There is a maximum 3 leave of absence allowed for six
months (from January to June & July to December)
• · Members have to intimate at least 2 days in advance to
Attendance Director for personal or work reasons.
• · If any member is more than 3 leave of absence in six
months then attendance Director recommend to initiate
appropriate action in the Board Meeting.
