knotting ribbon with clam shell ends you will need the following supplies: clam shells tiger tail beads clasp crimp beads scissors needle nose pliers 3” tail crush Step 1: Cut a piece of tiger tail 8" longer than desired length. Attach a clam shell then a crimp bead. Leave a 3-inch tail and crush the crimp bead with your needle nose pliers. Step 2: Thread the tail back through the hole of the clam shell and pull to tighten. Step 3: Use your needle nose pliers to close the clam shell over the crimp bead. Step 4: Thread on your beads. Make sure that you hide the excess 3-inch tail inside the first few beads. Step 5: Once you have added all your beads, add your final clam shell and crimp bead. Step 6: Do not crush your crimp bead yet. Thread the tail back through the clam shell and several beads. Step 8: Close the clam shell with your needle nose pliers. Pull tightly on the remaining tail and cut off as closely as possible. If there is any of the tail left poking out tuck it into the bead. Step 9: To finish, attach your clasp by hooking the open loop of the clam shell over the hoop of the clasp and close hoop.
