Application
The new CR360ML2 mechanically held lighting contactor is
designed to switch 20-ampere tungsten, ballast (fluorescent or
mercury arc), and 30-amp general use loads. The coil is only
energized for a short duration to allow the latch to hold the power
contacts closed thus preventing ac hum and insuring quiet
operation. Mechanically held operation allows the contactor to
remain "on" during power outage.
The CR360ML2 contactor may be controlled by a remote push
button, selector switch, or other pilot device. Optional solid-state
control modules are available to allow control of the lighting
contactor directly from energy management systems, microprocessors, timers, and similar control devices.

Description
The CR360ML2 mechanically held contactor is available in two,
three, four, six, eight, ten, or twelve normally open pole forms in a
compact, light-weight design. Coils are designed to be changed
to satisfy different standard control voltage requirements of 110120 Volts and 265-277 Volts. For high fault-current protection the
CR360ML2 has the highest available UL listed withstand current
ratings. Optional solid-state control modules are available fortwoor three-wire control and on-off control.

© The minimum permissible control circuit fuse size is based on the
operating coil's momentary inrush current.
© Overcurrent protective device ratings for control circuits should be
selected in accordance with applicable electrical codes.
Note: Use of energy management systems, multiple control
stations, or signals require prime control logic or use of a 2-wire
control relay/module, to assure that on and off signals are never
applied simultaneously to a mechanically held contactor.
