The report estimates the world market for MCB and RCD components was worth
approximately 6 billion USD in 2012. IHS projects the market will grow by approximately 7%
CAGR from 2012 to 2018, to reach just under 10 billion USD in 2018. The market for MCB
components will grow faster than RCDs, as countries which mandate relatively little RCD
protection will grow best. The leading suppliers to this market in 2012 were, in no order:
Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Eaton and Hager.
