Earn Fast Savings on LED Lamps and Retrofits
with Instant Rebates
As of February 1, 2015, you can receive an instant rebate when you
purchase ENERGY STAR®-qualified LED lamps and downlight solid state
retrofits from participating distributors.
Our Business LED Instant Rebates provide you with an easy, streamlined
way to take advantage of the newest and most-efficient lighting
technology available at a lower up-front cost.
Instant rebates, immediate savings:
• Cheaper up-front costs
Instead of having to apply for rebates after making
a purchase and waiting for the rebate check to arrive,
up-front reduced pricing will be offered by participating
distributors. In other words, the LED lamps and retrofits
will be immediately discounted with rebate savings,
creating a cheaper purchase price.
• You skip the application process
You will save loads of time with the new, no-hassle,
instant rebates. You will no longer need to spend time
filling out forms, attaching receipts, and submitting
applications to receive an incentive. All the rebate
benefits are “baked in” to the reduced cost you get
when you order the lamps and retrofits.
• Provide more opportunities to try LEDs
With the LED Instant Rebate, you will no
longer need as much up-front cash to buy LEDs.
The lower cost means this technology will be more
affordable, giving you easier access to the energysaving benefits this lighting technology provides.
How it works:
• You can work with trade partners or directly with
participating distributors to purchase qualifying LED
lamps and rerofits. A list of participating distributors is
available at xcelenergy.com/Rebates, under the Lighting
Efficiency program section.
• When qualifying LED technology is purchased from a participating
distributor, the instant rebate will be automatically applied to the
sale and reflected on the invoice.

Dec. 31, 2015.
There is a requirement for a minimum customer contribution. Customers must contribute at least $2 per lamp or retrofit. Rebate levels
will change throughout the life of the program. Lamp and retrofit rebate amounts are subject to change.
Lamp qualifications:
Qualifying lamps and/or retrofit kits for the Business LED Instant Rebate program must have ALL
of the following characteristics:
• ENERGY STAR-qualified lamps and retrofit kits must appear on the ENERGY STAR qualified
products list
• Interior installation
• Daytime usage
NOTE: Exterior lamps and/or lamps that only operate at night can be submitted through our Custom Efficiency program.
Also, non ENERGY STAR-rated LED PAR38 or PAR30 lamps AND lamps that are outside of the program categories above may be
submitted to the Custom Efficiency program via exception request.
Other important program notes:
• Qualifying lamps can replace ANY lamp type (i.e., fluorescent, incandescent and halogen).
You are not required to track what kind of lamp is being replaced in this program.
• The three to six times rule used in some of Xcel Energy’s downstream prescriptive programs
does not apply to the Business LED Instant Rebate program.
• Lamps can be installed in BOTH retrofit and new construction scenarios.
• Pin-based lamps (e.g. GU10) qualify for the Instant Rebate program as long as they’re
ENERGY STAR rated.
