The FleXO family of ultra-low-jitter clock generators are ideal for networking equipment

FleXO clock generators can be instantly programmed in the factory or field to frequencies

designers to vary clock frequency with 0.2 ppm precision to test system robustness across
potential frequency fluctuations during both design and production stages.

INTEGRATED FREQUENCY M ARGINING
Voltage, temperature, component variation, and other board level parameters can affect system performance and timing closure.
The traditional approach for timing closure has been to create a timing budget that accounts for all delays and data sheet limits of
components. More recently, companies have been directly measuring margin by adding extra components such as crystal oscillators
and signal source selectors to enable operating with system clocks certain percentages away from the center frequency. FleXO clock
generators integrate this functionality in a feature called frequency margining, allowing you to choose from a set of custom preset
frequencies using pin selects, or any desired frequency using I2C. Adding FleXO to your system eliminates extra BOM components and
enables frequency margin testing during design, component qualification, and production testing.
