For NON-US users, please visit the Global Site prior to going to the Lot Specific tab. When the new EXP files are imported after executing the DatabaseUpdate_321V1.exe, they will overwrite the information that is currently present. All future batches imported will be typed with the updated logic and pre3_21_1 EXP files cannot be imported. After executing DatabaseUpdate_321V1.exe, the CWD Allele list will update in accordance with Common and well-documented HLA alleles: 2012 update to the CWD catalogue (Tissue Antigens, 2013, 81, 194–203). Note: When updating to IMGT 3.21.1 the MATCH IT! DNA reports and MATCH IT! Backup production and test database to allow for a roll back if necessary. Connect to the test database and run the Allele Update Executable from one client PC. Perform validation but do not reconnect that client computer to the production database until validation is complete and all terminals are ready for updating. Click the arrow on the right-hand side of the Database text box. Select the database to upgrade. 7. Once database is updated Allele Count will be 13299. Repeat steps 2 -6 for each database that needs to be updated. IMPORTANT: Before typing (or re-typing) results with the 3.21.1 allele update, the SerologicalEquivalent.dat file must be deleted for each user of the computer(s). This should be done while the software is closed. When the software is then opened, a new file will be created with serological equivalents for the 3.21.1 allele update. The file to be deleted can be found in the following locations: Windows 7: C:\Users\(user id)\AppData\Local Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\(user id)\Local Settings\Application Data. DNA database. When 3.21.1 EXP files have been used and the DatabaseUpdate_321V1.exe is executed, the new names for certain alleles will appear in the Suggested Assignments and reports; e.g. B*48:04 will now be displayed as B*48:04:01. The report will reflect 3.21 as the IMGT/HLA Database used for analysis. When 3.21.1 EXP files have been used and the DatabaseUpdate_321V1.exe is executed, samples will not automatically be retyped with the 3.21.1 allele update. o To re-type all samples in one batch navigate to Review Suggested Assignments. Open the batch and click the Type Full Batch option in the upper left corner. Now all the samples within the batch will type with the correct database version. Note: Your reports will reflect alleles in the 3.21.1 allele database. o To re-type single samples navigate to Final Typing Assignments and select the sample. Toggle any probe and click Retype Sample. Note: Your reports will reflect alleles in the 3.21.1 allele database.
