During all months, except for June, July and August, your average price per kWh each month reflects a Fixed Energy charge
(4.0¢ per kWh for usage less than 950 kWh; and 5.0¢ per kWh thereafter) multiplied by your kWh usage, a Base Monthly
Charge, if applicable, and all existing recurring charges (including Transmission and Distribution Utility (“TDU”) delivery
charges that are passed through to you as billed from TDU). Your average price for electricity will vary according to your
actual usage.
During the months of June, July and August, your average price per kWh each month reflects (i) a fixed Energy charge (4.0¢
per kWh for usage less than 950 kWh; and 5.0¢ per kWh thereafter) multiplied by your kWh usage during Non-Critical
Hours, plus (ii) an Indexed Energy Charge, which is the LMP multiplied by 120%, multiplied by kWh usage during Critical
Hours, plus (iii) a Base Monthly Charge, if applicable, plus (iv) all existing recurring charges (including Transmission and
Distribution Utility (“TDU”) delivery charges that are passed through to you as billed from TDU). Your average price for
electricity will vary according to your actual usage and the applicable LMP..

About TruPrice Zero
•
•
•
TruPrice Zero offers low and highly competitive fixed pricing for 95% of the hours in your 12 month contract
term.
During the Critical Hours (Monday – Friday from 1:00pm CST through 8:00pm CST), customers on
TruPrice Zero are subject to the actual market prices of energy, which is referred to as the locational marginal
price (LMP). Visit http://www.ercot.com/content/cdr/html/real_time_spp to view the current LMP.
TruPrice Zero is the ideal product for customers who can significantly reduce their electricity
consumption during the Critical Hours. Customers can reduce their consumption by: increasing A/C
thermostat temperature set point, refraining from using appliances that use electricity – e.g., the dishwasher,
washer & dryer.
The EFL on the preceding page depicts pricing for TruPrice Zero using the 2012 LMP for the Critical Hours, which is
considered to be a typical or average summer in terms of energy market prices.
Below you will find pricing for TruPrice Zero using the 2011 LMP for the Critical Hours, which contained an unusually
hot summer resulting in higher than normal LMP.
