Dr. Yvonne Pfeifer
(Product

Topics covered: Pumps are used for a wide range of tasks in
the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. These can
include the conveying and dosing of aqueous and organic
liquids, highly viscous liquids, aggressive media, or liquid
gases. The process of planning and developing a specific
dosing application includes the right choice of pump system.
Strategies for the selection and the controlling of suitable
dosing pumps are discussed.
Key learning objectives: dosing, metering, dosing pumps
Who should attend: dosing pump users, process engineers,
specialists
Presenter: Dr Ingo Piotrowski studied chemistry and
specialized in organometallic chemistry at the Technical
University of Berlin. He joined KNAUER as a preparative LC
specialist and worked as product manager for preparative LC
at KNAUER. Since 2013 he has been working as senior
product manager with a focus on metering pumps and dosing
applications.
Topics covered: We will show how easy it is to introduce
HPLC to beginners by using the AZURA educational system
and the broad documentation that comes with it. The question
which applications and which types of columns can be used in
combination with the educational system will be answered and
we will point out for whom it is of interest. At the same time, we
will give an idea about easy and robust method development
using the simplest HPLC systems.

Key learning objectives: What is the AZURA educational
system? How does it help me to explain HPLC to beginners?
Which methods and columns are compatible? How can I do
easy method development?
Who should attend: HPLC beginners, Instructors/teachers of
HPLC for complete beginners,
Dr Yvonne Pfeifer
