Have you ever had a vendor that did not meet your expectations? We will go above and beyond to not only meet your expectations, but to exceed them. For example, have you had difficulty with an engineering firm completing an arc flash study to your expectations? We have seen many of companies that do not do a good job of clarifying the scope of work and likewise educating customers when their work scope is not clear. We will ensure that you get an arc flash that meets your needs, encompasses what it needs to, is correct and labels are properly installed on your gear and training is completed for your employees. There are many ways that Titan Quality Power Services goes above and beyond to meet and exceed your needs and expectations. Arc Flash Studies Power Quality Are you having problems with power quality? Power quality can broadly be classified into the following categories: Voltage sags, micro‐interruptions, long interruptions, voltage spikes, voltage swells and harmonic distortion. We can assist you with monitoring your power quality, controlling, discovery of where your problems are and benchmarking. There are many various solutions that could be implemented to assist you with managing your power quality. Some solutions are as follows: power factor correction, harmonic filters, active filters, transient suppression and many other methods. Upcoming Outages Per the NFPA70 – National Electric Code, all ground fault systems must be “performance tested” upon installation. Performance testing is not simply walking up and pushing a button to ensure that the main protective device trips. Performance testing of a ground fault system is a fairly involved testing practice which requires primary injection testing the ground fault system and other related testing, which is not commonly performed. Many times contractors do not perform the entire full set of recommended testing to properly performance test a ground fault system. We will perform the complete testing on your system. We are also prepared, in the event that you do not have settings for your protective device, to calculate the proper settings for your ground fault protection. We can also complete a full arc flash, or coordination, study for your customer’s entire system. We will also strive to have your report ready within 24 to 48 hours. Do you have a customer whom has an upcoming outage scheduled? We can provide the technical expertise to assist with planning the power distribution system work and executing the preventative maintenance testing for your breakers, transformers, MCC’s, etc. Troubleshooting / Disaster Recovery Whether you have a breaker tripping with one of your customer’s mains, or you have a full‐fledged disaster, we can assist you and your customer! We have experience with large scale disaster recovery efforts. In Summary We are your one stop shop for all of your service needs. Contact Information www.titanqps.com; info@titanqps.com; (866) 91TITAN Commercial / Real Estate Why Titan Quality Power Services? Are you a building owner and responsible for keeping the lights on at your facility? We are seeing more and more reliability requirements being passed along from insurance carriers for the liability associated with the lights going out, incidents, accidents and especially arc flash related injuries, which can be extremely serious to equipment, the budget, and you – yes, arc flash incidents can cause death’s. Don’t become a statistic! Hire Titan, a competent company that will go above and beyond to provide a truly awesome experience. We are not the average testing and engineering group, for we will truly provide an experience that you have not had from any other vendor specializing in this area. Below are some key points that you may want to consider: Training Services Are you aware that even a first responder has to be trained according to the NPFA70E? Are you aware that OSHA has specific guidelines that discuss competent employees and that they must be trained? Whether you need training for your non‐qualified workers, qualified workers, or general training for managers, we can assist you with all of your training needs. Bonus for you ‐ we go above and beyond the safety requirements and offer other related training to help your employees from a general knowledge standpoint. Please check out our website for a full listing of our training services. Arc Flash / NFPA70E Are you in compliance with the NFPA70E, OSHA1910.269 and other required standards? There are many standards that you as a building owner must comply with. Do you have arc flash labels on your switchgear, panel boards, etc.? If not, we can assist you with performing a study on your facility. These studies are required to be updated and completed every 5 years. Infra‐Red / Thermographic Scans Infra‐red cameras are cheap these days and anyone can purchase one, attend training and say that they are qualified. Are you sure that the company that is performing your infra‐red scans is truly qualified? If you are not sure, ask us, for we have experience developing programs for many customers, including one of the largest retail chains in the world. We truly know what we are talking about when it comes to infra‐red testing. Infra‐red testing goes way above the simple analysis as seen by the camera. Transformer Oil Testing / Maintenance In regard to your transformers, are you testing your transformer oil? This is one of the most basic tests that can be ran on your transformers and probably the most informative. The general industry recommends that you perform regular oil screens and degas samples yearly. It is also highly recommended to perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on your panel boards, switchgear, buses, transformers, etc. In Summary We are your one stop shop to assist you with reliability, safety, training and maintenance services. Titan Quality Power Services was founded by a leader that has over 23 years in the electrical distribution testing and engineering world. We are a unique firm within our profession in that we are a certified woman owned / small business company focusing on the electrical distribution services market. Our services are broad and go above and beyond electrical distribution services. Why Focus on Swimming Pool Electrical Safety? Pool season officially opens around May, which means that public and private swimming pools across the country will be swarming with people who want to get wet. Federal safety officials are warning of the hidden dangers often overlooked by pool owners – electrical shock. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says that electrical hazards in and around swimming pools have been responsible for 60 deaths and nearly 50 serious electrical shocks in the last 13 years (based on 2003 statistics). Aside from taking steps to reduce the danger of drowning in backyard swimming pools, the CPSC says pool owners should also perform an electrical safety check before opening their pools to swimmers. Officials say the areas of biggest concern are:  Faulty underwater lighting  Aging electrical wiring that hasn't been inspected in years  Use of sump pumps, power washers, and vacuums that aren't grounded  Use of electrical appliances, such as radios and TVs, or extension cords that could fall or be pulled into the water Equipotential Bonding The diagram below illustrates that all metal components of a pool must be grounded to one another, creating equal potential between all components. This is a requirement per the National Electrical Code, NEC.

Being shocked when not expecting it is an earth moving event. Even more serious is being shocked in a swimming pool; water is an excellent conductor of electricity. Swimming pool electrocution may be a rare occurrence, but what a small price to pay for the added assurance. While drowning is still the number one pool safety issue, a couple of high profile incidents in the last year have raised awareness about the risk of electrical shock while swimming. Picture of proper grounding Minimizing Your Risk There are many ways to minimize your risk when building a pool, or utilizing your existing pool for the first time this summer. Have your pool inspected. You should have all electrical components inspected when your pool is first built – not only is it smart, but it is likely to be the law in your area. It’s also a good idea to have an older pool inspected periodically, especially if you don’t know the history. If you’re considering moving into a house that already has a pool, have it inspected before you buy. Above Ground Pools Have your pool tested per the NEC. Your pool is required to be tested per the NEC 2014, Article 680 – Swimming Pools, Fountains, and Similar Installations when your pool is constructed. Have your pool tested for equipotential, i.e. ensure that all metal parts of your pool system are grounded to one another and to a good ground reference. Below are several pictures of the code requirements as referenced in the NEC. Titan Quality Power Services, can perform the required equipotential testing of your pools electrical system and for older pools, complete a full inspection to search for hazards to minimize your risk.
