Schlemmer products are also used by a large number of off highway, construction equipment and specialist vehicle manufacturers to help ensure electrical reliability in extreme environmental conditions. PA6 (Nylon) PPmod (HIGH TEMP) PA6 (Nylon) is ideal for applications that require a conduit with high impact and abrasion protection with outstanding chemical resistance. PPmod (High Temperature Polypropylene) makes for a flexible conduit with good impact and abrasion resistance and can withstand a broad range of chemicals. PA6 (Nylon) conforms to FMVSS302, is flame retardant, halogen free and maintains excellent flexibility in temperature extremes of -40°C to +120°C. PPmod has a working temperature range of -40°C to +135°C, is self extinguishing and conforms to FMVSS302. PA6 (Nylon) conduit is supplied nonsplit making it ideal for mining and fuel haul applications when used with the extensive range of Schlemmer sealed fittings. PPmod (High Temperature Polypropylene) conduit is supplied in a 'Lockable' format making it ideal for use in engine bays, open environment applications or for application after a harness has been installed. Schlemmer Fittings Schlemmer offer a wide range of sealed and unsealed harness protection adaptors and fittings to suit almost any application. The Sealed Fittings range including Quickconnect, Threadconnect Adaptor Kits, and Threadconnect ‘T’ Piece Fittings offer an international protection rating IP67 allowing for a completely sealed harness setup. The SEM-FAST Adaptor Kit range offers an even higher rating of IP68. When a completely sealed harness is not required Hinged ‘T’ & ‘Y’ Fittings are a handy snap-lock solution for harness division. A selection of fitting accessories designed to satisfy all harness mounting, terminating and support requirements are available completing Schlemmer’s comprehensive range of harness protection. PP (Standard) PP (Standard Polypropylene) is used in the manufacture of basic automotive conduit. FMVSS302 compliant, a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C with basic impact, abrasion and chemical resistance. PP (Standard Polypropylene) is ideal for vehicle interior, chassis and body sections. PP (Standard Polypropylene) conduit is only available in split configuration and is compatible with a wide range of Schlemmer Hinged Fittings and Quickconnect / SEM-FAST adaptors. Deutsch Backshells Deutsch Backshells are designed and manufactured by Deutsch specifically for protecting wiring between conduit and DT connector. Each Backshell accepts multiple sizes and types of conduit including Schlemmer PA6, PP Split, and PPmod Lockable. Utilising a twin clamp design each Backshell securely fastens to 3 sizes of Schlemmer corrugated conduit without the need for additional tooling. The rear housing of each Backshell features a ridged ring providing a steadfast gripping area for heatshrink application. The comprehensive range of Backshells includes both straight and 90° versions suiting the entire range of Deutsch DT Series connectors. The new design utilises special locking clamps which automatically insert themselves between the corrugations of the conduit.
