Entry process
Entries need to be submitted on BUCScore, our online entry system. Please speak to your Athletic
Union as they will need to submit your entry on this system. The online forms will need to be completed
in full – incomplete forms cannot be submitted. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED UNDER
ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. ATHLETIC UNIONS: ONCE ENTERED ON BUCSCORE MAKE SURE
YOU SUBMIT YOUR ENTRIES. UNSUBMITTED ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES.
Entry allowance
No restrictions on entries shall apply.* Please check the provisional programme of events which can be
downloaded from the BUCS website Short Course event page before entering to make sure you have
time to recover from one race to the next.
*In the unlikely occasion that we reach capacity entries will be restricted.
Entry times
Entry times MUST be submitted for all events. These should be Short Course times or conversions
from Long Course times. Please write the PB in number format as follows. For example: 022159 –
represents 2 minutes, 21 seconds and 59 ms).
Please note the following entry times that swimmers must have achieved for the Distance Freestyle
Events:
Women's 800m Freestyle – 12Min
Men's 1500m Freestyle – 19Min 30Sec
Women’s 400m Freestyle – 06Min
Men’s 400m Freestyle – 05Min 30Sec
Entries by swimmers with times outside of these will be rejected. WARNING - Any swimmer finishing
excessively outside the above times will be asked to prove their entry time legitimacy and if this cannot
be proved then these individuals may face disciplinary action. Therefore please ensure you bring a
results sheet with you.
Failure to finish inside the qualifying time of an event will make an individual liable for a fine as per the
BUCS Swimming Regulations.
Entry checks
The entry lists will be published on the BUCS website Short Course event page on Tuesday 3rd
November for checking. All entries MUST be checked, with errors being reported by your Athletic Union
to Nick Burley by 5pm on Friday 6th November. Please note you can request changes to errors of times
and registration numbers, however you will only be able to request substitute swimmers for other
swimmers if they appear somewhere else in the programme, which again must be requested by 5pm on
Friday 6th November. No new entries are allowed.
Any changes to errors of times required after this date may be subject to an admin charge of £2 per
change and no substitutions or changes to registration numbers can be made after 5pm on Friday 6th
November.

Great Britain for disability swimmers):

PLEASE NOTE: If you do not want your classification displayed in the printed programme please
contact Nick Burley. Also, if you have any special requirements for competing, e.g. Strobe lights, please
advise Nick of this in advance of the event.

[5] Governing Body Registration Number (if registered) e.g. ASA, Scottish Swimming, WASA etc.

ASA registration & ranking
ASA registration is not a requirement to compete in the BUCS Swimming Championships. However,
ASA registered swimmers who wish their times to be submitted to the ASA for ranking purposes must
complete their Date of Birth and ASA number on the form. ASA numbers must be provided at the point
of entry and checked before 5pm on Friday 6th November. Any ASA numbers submitted after this date
will not be accepted.

information. Final pre-event information including the accepted entry lists for checking will be published
on Tuesday 3rd November 2015.
