Powering a Cleaner Tomorrow.
eMission Diesel Generator Aftertreatment (AT) Systems Family
Clean, Reliable Power. Every Time.
ēMission Tier 4 products reduce the NOx, CO, HC, and Particulate
Matter (PM) levels in the exhaust stream from Tier 2 to Tier 4
interim or Tier 4 Final levels as specified by the United States
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), providing compliance with
optimum performance, reliability, and versatility for all applications.
The ēMission Diesel Particulate Filter-only (DPF-only) product is
designed specifically for sensitive receptor areas and provides
better than 95% Particulate Matter reduction. The ēMission
product is fully integrated and tailored to Cummins Power
Generation generator sets, with performance demonstrated
through long term EPA Deterioration Factory testing meeting the
Two 1500 kW 50L Cummins Power Generators with Tier 4 Final
aftertreatment systems in Fullerton, CA
highest standards in the industry.

System Features and Benefits
Exhaust Blanket: Standard installation for minimized heat
rejection to enclosed environments
Integrated Load Bank (ILB): Automatically regenerates DPF to
maintain optimum performance and ensures faster system
compliance, without need for floor mounted load bank
Self-Cleaning Airless Injection System: Patented Diesel
Exhaust Fluid (DEF) injector does not require a compressed
air source
Closed Loop Control System: Product communicates with
generator, ensuring consistent emissions control as operating
conditions change
Durable Stainless Steel Construction
Diesel Exhaust Fluid Tank: 225 gallon tank with integrated level
sensor
IBC Seismic Certified
Tier 4 Final Requirements
All certified systems with engines manufactured after January
1, 2015 must be Tier 4 Final for stationary non-emergency use
Major Sources/Title 5 facilities may require Tier 4 Final
A Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is required on engines located
within 100 meters of schools in California
Tier 4 Final is required for California demand response
programs
Tier 4 Final is required by SCAQMD for any non-emergency
applications and near sensitive receptors
Selecting the Correct AT System
Certified: Unlimited operational hours, prime power
applications, no EPA restrictions, local restrictions may apply
Five 2250 kW 60L Cummins Power Generators with Tier 4 interim certified
aftertreatment systems in Coit, TX
Compliant: Unlimited emergency operation during outages,
100 hours/year maximum for non-emergency, 50 hours/year for
demand response/peak shaving (SCAQMD Rule 1110.2),
additional restrictions may apply

Key Terminology
Southern California Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD)
Rule 1110.2: Legislation designed to improve compliance of
stationary engines and achieve emissions reductions based on
the cleanest available technologies. Affects Los Angeles,
Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties
Title V: Federal program designed to standardize air quality
permits and the permitting process for major sources of
emissions across the country. Major sources are facilities that
emits, or has the Potential to Emit (PTE) any criteria pollutant or
Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP) at levels equal to or greater than
the major source thresholds
Non-Attainment Areas: Areas that do not meet EPA
National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) 40
CFR Part 50 for ozone and particulate. These areas
include California, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Boston
Demand Response: Programs designed to enable
customers to contribute to energy load reduction during
times of peak demand. California’s demand response
program is limited to 75 hours/year and require local
district approval
Sensitive Receptors: Any residences with living quarters
including private dwellings, health facilities, hospitals,
prisons, and dormitories. SCAQMD requires Tier 4
interim PM levels on engines located within 50m
