In order to participate in selling the WorkCentre Pro 423/428
Multifunction Product, all resellers must be Authorized Service
Providers and complete certification training.
Service Offerings:
Xerox will not be offering service agreements or service
support on this product. As a reseller eligible to sell the
WorkCentre Pro 423/428, you will be responsible for the
service and customer support.
Warranty:
The WorkCentre Pro 423/428 comes with a 90-day warranty.
In order for Xerox to supply ASPs with free parts for warranty
repairs, the product MUST be registered so that its entitlement
status appears in the service order system.
ASP Process:
Certification on the WorkCentre Pro 423/428 is a 3-Day,
self-paced training using a WorkCentre Pro training Kit.
Note: the material assumes a basic familiarity with
Multi-Function Products.
A WorkCentre Pro 423/428 is required for certification and a
demo offer is available in order to meet this requirement. Review
the demo flyer and order your demo direct from Xerox.

• Under ASP Training Materials, click on the link to “order now”.
Select “Other” and enter “WorkCentre Pro 423/428, do not ship
CD”. (CD may be purchased if desired but is not necessary.)
Also select “Printing Basics, qty 1”.
• Certification requires successful completion of an on-line
test in addition to completion of the training materials.

Reseller Support:
Xerox will provide technical support for ASPs. Support can
be obtained by calling the Technical Support Center (TSC) at
1-800-635-8063 option 1, option 3. Give the TSC Support
Engineer your five digit TCN Number preceded by the letter N
(Nxxxxx). The Technical Support Center will work with ASP to
find a solution to the problem. Depending on the nature of the
problem, the ASP may be given a log number for future reference.
Product Setup and Installation:
The WorkCentre Pro 423 and 428 will follow the standard delivery guidelines with shipping for any order under $5,000 to be
paid by the reseller and orders over $5,000 Xerox will ship at
no charge. The shipping will be standard door to door. Due to
the large size of the device and an opportunity for the reseller
to sell additional value, Xerox will offer an “Inside Delivery”
option. The inside delivery option extends the drop off from
the customers receiving area to the location the device is to be
set up and all of packing material removed.
As an added opportunity for you, and a benefit to your customer,
plan on providing installation, set-up and training, once the product has been delivered to their site.
Parts Ordering Procedure
As an ASP, you will be able to order parts for WorkCentre Pro
423/428 from the Xerox Logistics Customer Support Center
(LCSC), not Wilsonville.
Prior to placing any orders, you must have a Xerox Customer
Number. To obtain a Xerox Customer Number, call Xerox CASO
@ 1-888-339-7887, say “Billing” at the prompt and then press
prompt 1.
Once you communicate your Customer Number to the Service
Alliance Organization, you can order parts for the WorkCentre
Pro by calling the Xerox Logistics Customer Support Center
(LCSC) at 800-828-5881. For the WorkCentre Pro 423/428
only, parts discounts will be 50%, and there will be no labor
reimbursement during warranty.
