Applications
The Light-in-Light provides visual comfort from a decorative form-follows-function design that
replicates daylight by providing direct and indirect lighting. Light-in-Light is an energy efficient
alternative to open area lighting; providing soft uniform illumination on walls from floor to
ceiling.
Housing
Recessed modular housing construction consists of ceiling fitting plate assembly with integral
junction box from 16-gauge steel, integral ballast, and quick connect whip. Can be installed
independent of lamp socket housing module to allow finishing / closing of ceiling construction.
27” long steel mtg. bars (MB27) are supplied as standard.
MS-3 Mounting System
Patented 3-point bayonet latch mounting system consists of die-cast magnesium trim ring and
mounting ring with adjustable throat to accommodate up to a 2” ceiling thickness. Mounting ring
incorporates integral yoke and socket box from 16-gauge steel for optical assembly.
Glass Optical Assembly
Satin frosted alkali lime glass parabolic shade is available in opal. Glass
attachments based on the MS-3 mounting system that allow for tool less access
relamping. White aluminum cup reflector is included.
Electrical / Ballast
Electronic multi-voltage (120V-277V), multi-wattage, end of life protected ballast
(>10% THD) is standard. Lamp holders provided are wattage specific, 4-pin:
GX24q-2 (18W), GX24q-3 (26W or 32W), or GX24q-4 (42W). Universal wattage
lamp holder provided upon request for 6” glass shade. Junction box listed for (8)
eight # 12 AWG 90ºC conductors and feed through wiring.
