All the cables that are presented in this brochure meet these requirements at a very competitive price. AIRCOM® PLUS with its unique air cell dielectric has become one of the most popular multi-purpose coaxial cables since its introduction in 1989. A specially designed honeycomb expander maintains the correct position of the center conductor while keeping the cable impedance constant even when it’s sharply bent. This high quality, semi-air spaced cable can be used for applications up into the 10 GHz microwave region. Throughout its useable frequency range AIRCOM PLUS achieves a remarkable low loss despite its small diameter of 10.3 mm (0.4 inches) AIRCELL® 7 is an extremely flexible coaxial cable with a surprisingly low loss even though its diameter is just 7.3mm (approx. 0.28 inch). Because of its 19 strand copper center conductor, a bending radius as small as 25 mm (approx. 1 inch) is allowed. This makes AIRCELL® 7 ideal for small to intermediate distances or where limited space does not allow the use of larger diameter cables. The ECOFLEX® family of coaxial cables is the number 1 choice when it comes to flexibility, low loss and ease of use. IP 68 compliant solderless N-connectors are available, thus allowing the manufacture of cable assemblies in minutes. ECOFLEX® cables are the European wide industrial standard for general communications use. They are also ideally suited for use in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WLAN bands. Precise coaxial connectors are an absolute necessity for long lasting trouble free connections! For all the cables presented in this brochure, the most common types of coaxial connectors are available. These specially designed connectors feature: • extended housings • oversized gaskets for better sealing and above average strain relief • no special tooling requirements. Easy to read assembly instructions can be downloaded from the internet. For long lasting high-quality connections, we strongly recommend using the genuine AIRCELL® 7, AIRCOM® PLUS und ECOFLEX® coaxial connectors. The expander provides a tight seal around the solid center conductor which is made from oxygen free copper, thus ensuring it is protected against moisture and corrosion. Another feature of AIRCOM PLUS® is its double shielding which is constructed of overlapping copperfoil plus an additional tightly woven copperbraid resulting in a screening efficiency > 85 dB@1 GHz. The copperfoil has an applied PE-coating which prevents foil cracking due to short radius bends and the black PVCsheath of AIRCOM PLUS® is UV-stabilized.
