PRESENTATION
•
General description
The PHOENIX is a 24VDC fire detection panel able to drive up to
252 addressable devices over its 2 integrated loops.
It is possible to form a network of up to 4 PHOENIX, each being
used either as a fire detection panel or a simple remote panel.
Installations requiring more loops can be easily achieved using the
optional PHOENIX_EM DIN rail expansion module, able to drive 2
additional loops of 126 addressable devices. One unit can be
connected to each PHOENIX panel.
The maximum capacity of the system (4 PHOENIX + 4
PHOENIX_EM) gives 16 loops of 126 = 2016 adressable devices.
Each panel can display information from the complete installation,
however it is configured as a fire detection panel or repeater panel.
Functionalities:
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
The powerful cause & effect feature allows configuring the operation
of loop devices like sounders, beacons, i/o units... through an
intuitive PC configuration software. Multiple connections to external
equipments such as VDR, AMS, General alarm and public address
systems can be easily realized through digital or serial interfaces.

NAVIGATION LIGHT PANEL with capacitive technology
Introduction
Since many years, Marinelec technologies is one of the world leaders in the design and manufacturing of HMI
panels and its associated control boards. The quality of our products is a warranty for our clients to have
reliable and long lasting equipments on board. To continuously improve the quality of the products offered,
Marinelec has adopted the capacitive switching technology to develop a new generation of control panels.

Technology
The capacitive switching system uses the ability of each
person to make a switch change position without
mechanical interaction. Combined with the Marinelec
navigation lights panel, this technology overcomes the
constraint of mechanical switches and thus maximise the
product life that becomes almost infinite. In addition, the
change in capacitance being detected without direct
contact with electronics, Marinelec panels are sealed on
the front and have a completely flush design.
Example of application on NAVIGATION LIGHTS PANELS
The vitrified material brings a revolutionary design in the products range of
Marinelec and an efficient back lighting which allows an intuitive an immediate use of
the product.
The incorporation of multi-colour backlighting into the operating keys gives the user
visual indicators of the operation . The action of pressing the key is also associated with
a beep sound and can be either, or not maintained. The mimic of the ship benefits from
a powerful backlighting , thus enhancing its representation on the panel. The panel
has also light attenuation function for night navigation. Faithful to its commitment to
maximize the service to its customers, Marinelec technology offers the possibility to
customize the various aspects of the navigation lights panel: mimic of the ship, number
of lights, of operating keys, language, backlighting colours, etc.…
Other applications
This new technology could be applied to other Marinelec equipments with panel HMI like control panels for
pumps, valves, interior lighting,, windshield wipers, etc ...
The innovation has no limits ! This is why Marinelec has reworked in depth the design of its products on
specifications in order to combine the standardization and the possibility of customization for its customers.
This will allows our team to respond more quickly to their needs

ACQUISITION AND TERMINAL BOX
To avoid false alarms, a time delay can be
programmed on all channels.
To ensure maximum system reliability, the product
continuously monitors the state of the electrical cable
connecting the box to the sensor. This informs the
user, through an audible and indicator light alarm, of
any short-circuit or open-circuit preventing the
monitoring of the sensor status.
An audible signal output is designed to transfer the
audible signals generated by the ALTOR8: it is
enabled at the same time as the internal buzzer
An indicator light signal output is designed to
transfer the audible signals generated by the
ALTOR8 to an external device (flashing light or
other): it is enabled at the same time as the internal
buzzer.

DESCRIPTION
Application
The ALTOR4 is a product designed to monitor the state of four dry
contact sensors compatible with the MARINELEC line monitoring,
and generate an audio and light alarm when the sensor changes state.
To avoid false alarms, a time delay can be programmed in all
channels.
To ensure maximum system reliability, the product continuously
monitors the state of the electrical cable connecting the box to the
sensor. This informs the user, through an audible and indicator light
alarm, of any short-circuit or open-circuit preventing the monitoring
of the sensor status.
An audible signal output is designed to transfer the audible signals
generated by the ALTOR4: it is enabled at the same time as the
internal buzzer.
The installation must be performed with approved shielded cables.

SUPERVISION
ACQUISITION SYSTEMS
Thanks to its great experience in marine sector and its design office at the forefront of
technology Marinelec has developed supervision.
It contains system of acquisitions, data display, control and monitoring. These means of
communications allow interfacing it with device on board.
PG 09 PRODUCT DATA SHEET
DESCRIPTION
The supervision systems provide general functions like alarm,
instrumentation and control systems.
It can be implemented on any type of vessel.
Application
Vessel equipment monitoring:
(Exhaustive list).
They have the following advantages:
A: considerable reduction in onboard wiring through the use of
remote input/output modules.
B: complete system of security through the use of a redundent
Ethernet bus ring. The failure of a part of the ring does not
compromise the system's integrity.
C: a very substantial reduction in onboard installation time,
thanks to touch screens or PCs replacing conventional panels with
indicator lights and buttons.
D: the many functions available (see list below) including in
particular: history, language choice, adjustment and configuration of
alarms and analogue measurements, etc.
-
Engines and generators.
Liquid levels: fuel oil, fresh water, grey and black
water, new and used oil.
- Water ingress and dewatering.
- Navigation lights.
- Watertight doors and hatches.
- Technical alarms.
- Electrical power.
- Hydraulic power.
- Etc.
Vessel equipment control:

-
E Modern design and a custumizable interface
F : Use of all available networks and protocols used by
manufacturers of machinery and equipment (engine = J1939
Navigation electronics = NMEA0183 or NMEA2000, electricity =
RS485 or RS232, etc.).
-
Inside and outside lighting.
Floodlights.
Windscreen wipers.
Transfer pumps, ballasting pumps, bilge pumps, firefighting pumps, etc.
Ventilations.
Types of signals processed:
(Exhaustive list).
G : Use of a touch screen or PC-based system providing an
ergonomic design tailored to the crew environment and crew
practices.
I : Use of reliable, approved materials and subassemblies, already
used in many applications on all types of vessels around the world.
Inputs: Dry contact (NO or NC).
Analogue (0/10Vdc, 4-20 mA, PT100, thermocouple,
etc.).
Serial (RS232, RS485).

Analytical Econometer : ECOMER
ECOMER is a competitive and clever system designed for improving the economic behavior of the ship. It
allows to monitor consumption, in real-time, by post, of different equipment of the boat, in a "eloquent" unit.
This information will allow the vessel’s owner to make decisions which are going to generate winnings of
consumption.
