LOCK WITH CYLINDER
WARNING
This lock is provided with a burglar-proof system with locking of
the latch bolts. This system is activated in the event of an attempt
to extract the cylinder with force, with the lock closed (with latch
bolts protruding).
All the cylinder fitting (first installation or lock change) and testing
operations must be carried out with the lock open (with latch bolts
retracted) to avoid activating the locking system.
If this is not done, the lock will irreversibly lock in the closed position. Gardesa will not accept any complaints if these instructions
have not been followed.
USE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE
CYLINDER
1 - Fully insert the key. Do not force the key and do not exert
twisting movements on it during insertion or extraction. Extract
the key at the end of every opening/closing operation.
2 - Do not use foreign bodies or non-original keys to operate the
cylinder.
3 - Never use the key to pull or push the door.

SECURITY CYLINDER INSTALLATION
Unscrew the pins (5) and remove the fixing plate (3) leaving the
anti-drill protection (7) in its housing.
Screw and tighten the hex screw (1) on the cylinder (2) from the
inside and insert the cylinder in its housing in the lock. Insert the
fixing plate (3) from the inside of the lock with the pin (4) direct
towards the hexagonal head screw (1). Insert the fixing screws (5)
with their bolts (6) and fix the anti-drill defender (7). Screw on the
nylon plate (8) with screws (9) and fit the plate cover (10) and the
knob (11) with the allen screw provided.

ADJUSTING THE HINGES
Horizontal adjustment X. Using a hex key, slacken screws B
and C, tighten or slacken the grub screws present in holes E and
F with 4 mm spanner, and lastly re-tighten screws B and C.
WARNING: For correct adjustment, never slacken screws A
and D.
Try to unscrew/screw the screws evenly by keeping count of the
number of turns. Each turn of grub screws E and F corresponds
to a movement of approx 1 mm.
Height adjustment Y with grub screw and lock grub screw.
Slacken the lock grub screw with 5 mm spanner and unscrew
or screw the grub screw underneath with 4 mm spanner. Each
turn corresponds to a movement of approx 1 mm. When you
have finished making the adjustment, tighten the 5 mm lock
grub screw again.
Axis Z adjustment. Slacken the screws M6 with 4 mm hex
key, re-position the leaf and then tighten the screws.

CODING CHANGE
The reprogramming operation must be carried out by means of the
OLD KEY TO BE REPLACED and only

with an original key.
Check that the coding change pin is in
key code
the vertical position (Fig. 4).
1- Check that the new key has the
same code as the key to be replaced
(Fig. 6).
2 - Remove the plate of the handle (advised) or remove the cap on
the plate to access the coding change pin (Fig. 4). With the door
open (Fig. 2) insert, from the outside, the old key to be replaced,
turn it in the opening direction until the latch is fully retracted and
hold it in traction.
3 - Holding the key in the aforesaid position, press and turn the
coding change pin with the screwdriver (Fig. 3) in the lock closing direction (Fig. 7 and Fig. 8) until it stops but without forcing.
When you remove the screwdriver, make sure the coding change
pin does not stay pressed down but returns to its initial position.
Extract the old key.
