-A secure web-based “easy-to-use” clinical trial data management system (eCRF Designer) has been developed
by the Emory Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics within the Rollins School of Public Health for a
double-blind, randomized, controlled clinical trial of oral vitamin D3 in patients with pulmonary TB in the Republic
of Georgia (Tbilisi) designed to enhance the clinical efficacy of anti-TB drugs (Emory investigators: Henry
Blumberg, MD, Thomas Ziegler MD and Carlos del Rio, MD). This effort was partially funded by the Emory
Research and Academic Health Sciences IT Division to help enhance the translation research capacity at Emory.
