Applicants without a Bachelor Degree are required to complete the prerequisite courses listed below by the application deadline. Applicants with a Bachelor Degree are only required to complete the first 5 prerequisites by the application deadline. * Either General Chemistry or the Science requirement must have an associated lab. Prerequisite Courses Approved Course Anatomy BIO 201-4 Human Anatomy and Physiology I Physiology BIO 202-4 Human Anatomy and Physiology II Microbiology Microbiology OR General College Microbiology Statistics BIO 204-4 OR BIO 208-5 MAT 135-3 General Chemistry * CHE 101-5 Introduction to Chemistry I with Lab College Algebra MAT 121-4 General Sociology SOC 101-3 One course from the following: biology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, genetics, or physics. College Algebra (MAT 030-MAT 120 DO NOT FULFILL THIS REQUIREMENT) Introduction to Sociology I General Psychology PSY 101-3 Introduction to Psychology I Developmental Psychology PSY 235-3 OR PSY 237-3 AND PSY 239-3 ANT 101-3 Human Growth and Development OR Child and Adolescent Psychology AND Adolescent and Adult Development Cultural Anthropology OR a course in multicultural studies ENG 122-3 English Composition II HWE 100-3 One non-performance course in fine arts, music, theatre, literature, film, or other creative arts. Or a third or fourth level language course with a literature component. Human Nutrition Science * Cultural Anthropology or Multicultural Studies English Composition II Creative Arts Human Nutrition Political Science, History, Microeconomics, Philosophy, or Foreign Language Introduction to Statistics Two courses are required. A foreign language course is strongly recommended. Each course must be from a different subject area. NOTE: For applicants without a Bachelor Degree, prerequisite courses may or may not total 60 semester credit hours. The remainder of the required 60 semester hours may be selected from most academic disciplines; we will not accept any commercial, vocational, or doctrinal courses in religion.
