Welcoming MIDA Malaysia, Trade and Investment Mission
to Italy on 26 September 2011

FBM Hudson in Italy was
honoured to receive and
welcomed
YBhg Dato’ Sri
Mustapa Mohamed, Minister of
International Trade and Industry
of Malaysia to their plant in
Terno d‘Isola. The Minister
was leading a Trade and Investment Mission to Europe aimed
at promoting trade and investment opportunities in Malaysia
and strengthening business networking and establishing
collaborative ventures between the two countries.
The mission delegation included YBhg Dato Seri Muhammad
Ali Rustam, Chief Minister of the State of Melaka from Malaysia,
representatives from the public sector such as Corridor
Development Authorities, Ministry of International Trade and
Industry (MITI), Malaysian Industrial Development Authority
(MIDA) and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation
(MATRADE) and also the private sector.
The event was also attended by distinguished guests in Italy
such as The Honourable Mr Roberto Castelli, Vice-Minister of
Transport & Infrastructure, the member of Italian Parliament,
Mr. Gabriele Cimadoro, President of Productive Activities of
Commerce & Tourism Commission, the Mayor of Terno d’Isola
(where our Company is located), President of Bergamo Chamber
of Commerce, Mr. Paolo Malvestiti, Lombardy Councilman, Mr.
Giosuè Frosio and Mr. Gabriele Sola.
During the visit, directors and senior management of FBM Hudson
as well as from KNM Malaysia were presented with an overview
of the company followed by a plant tour before being treated to a
sumptious dinner.
It was a truly momentous occasion for FBM Hudson as the company
also celebrated its 70th Anniversary in the industry simultaneously.

W.E. Smith Engineering Having Their Voices
Heard
On 8 August 2011, Shadow Minister for Industry, Sophie
Mirabella and Federal MP Luke Hartsuyker visited the
manufacturers of Coffs Harbour. During the visit. W.E. Smith
Engineering (a wholly owned subsidiary of KNM) whose plant
is in Boambee had the opportunity to share their concerns
and issues affecting manufacturers in Australia with the
Shadow Minister.

The Linde Group ,one of the worldwide leading gases and engineering
companies, together with Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC)
won an order valued USD1.075 billion from Borouge, a joint venture
of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) with Borealis.
The order includes one of the largest turnkey ethylene crackers on
ethane basis worldwide for the Ruwais production site, Abu Dhabi/
UAE.
The ethylene plant with a capacity of almost 1.5 million tons per year
of ethane is the heart of a petrochemical complex in Ruwais.
BORSIG Process Heat Exchanger GmbH won the order from Linde
for the delivery of the complete quench system for the ethane cracker.
Our scope of supply consists of 70 primary linear quench coolers, 7
secondary quench coolers, 7 steam drums, the engineering package
for risers and downcomers and the engineering package for gas
transfer line.

KNM continues to make its presence felt in its
diversification into turnkey solutions, strategic
investments, plant operation and maintenance
for the oil gas, petrochemical, power and utility,
renewable energy and biotechnology plants via
various marketing approach in 2011.
On 27 – 29 September 2011, KNM together with
its German unit, Borsig jointly participated in the
Power-Gen Asia Conference and Exhibition in
KLCC, Kuala Lumpur.
As in the past, the power industry’s annual
gathering closed with resounding success
with visitors coming from over 50 countries
gathered to share new technologies,
knowledge, skills, opportunities and
strategies developing in the region.

Conducted and held at our workplace in October 2011
HSE remains the top operational priority in KNM. In its quest for success as well as

place at Kingwood Country Club in Houston, Texas on
21 September 2011.
This Charity Golf Tournament
is organised to raise funds for
YUTP and Dana Asy-Syakirin,
two charitable organisations
set up to help the needy.
