SYLVANIA QUICKTRONIC® EMERGENCY BALLASTS enable an existing compact fluorescent downlighting fixture to operate as both an emergency egress lighting fixture as well as a normal lighting fixture. During a power loss, the emergency ballast automatically switches the fixture to emergency mode and continues to operate one or two lamp(s) at reduced lumen output for at least 90 minutes. These Emergency Ballasts can be installed as part of a fixture by an OEM or added to an existing fixture during a retrofit. Key System Features • • • • • • • • • • 90 minute emergency operation Integrated test switch and pilot light Automatic battery recharge Dual Input Voltage (120V/277V) Designed specifically for downlighting applications Sealed, maintenance-free, hightemperature nickel cadmium battery UL Listed as “Emergency Lighting and Power Equipment” Meets or exceeds all National Electric Code (NEC) requirements Meets or exceeds NFPA 101/Life Safety Code (LSC) requirements for Emergency Lighting 5 year warranty Application Information SYLVANIA QUICKTRONIC EMERGENCY BALLASTS are ideally suited for: • Commercial • Retail • Offices • Wherever emergency illumination is required ECS107 – 8/2009 This series has dual input voltage (120 or 277V) and it supports many lamp types and wattages. A single pole test switch and charge indicator accessory kit is supplied with each unit. Each SYLVANIA QUICKTRONIC Emergency Ballast comes with the SYLVANIA Total System Solution that includes AC lamp ballast and emergency ballast compatibility. AVERAGE INITIAL LUMENS System Information • Unit can be remote mounted up to half the distance recommended by the ballast manufacturer or 50 feet, whichever is less. • Unit can be wired into building circuit in one of two ways: on night light circuit (permanently energized) or on switchable circuit (unswitched circuit to the battery charger and switched circuit to the fixture ballast).
