In addition to the move to narrow band, there are a few changes the person programming and the end user need to be aware of: 1) Channels to be narrow banded are indicated with a green “N”. 2) Channels to remain wide band are indicated with a red “W”. 3) Highlighted in yellow are changes in naming convention, frequency change or addition to the REDCOM and / or agency frequency load. a) b) c) d) e) f) g) CDF Command 6 has replaced CDF Command 2 White 2 is renamed to VFIRE 22 White 3 is renamed to VFIRE 23 MEDCOM is an addition to the standard REDCOM Freq. load. RPDPS 2 is a new Rohnert Park DPS tactical frequency. REDCOM with operator selectable tone. VFIRE 26 is a new CAL EMA tactical frequency 4) Two years ago all end users were directed to add two cross band interoperability Channels; COMM-West and COMM-East. Those frequencies have been changed and are highlighted in yellow as well. All other information contained in the ICS 217A REDCOM NB Frequency Load is self explanatory. The CAL FIRE 2011 Frequency Load will be sent in a separate attachment. The channels to be narrow banded are indicated by an “N”. CAL FIRE is awaiting updates from the USFS prior to finalizing their 2011 programming update. CAL FIRE anticipates starting programming in late March and early April 2011.
