120TH ANNIVERSARY OF GEO. HALL & SDNS LIMITED.
It is a personal pleasure for me to congratulate
the management of Geo. Hall
Sons Limited on ths 120th
anniversary of the company this year.
Throughout their history, Hall's manufacturing
activities have been located in the Norwood area which
I have represented in the State Parliament since 1953.
During visits to the factory on a number of occasions,
I have been able to see at first hand that employeemanagement relations are notably harmonious. A continuous
history of 120 years is an achievement of which any
company can be justly proud. That the company is
still managed by the fourth generation of the Hall
family must, I feel sure, be a source of added satisfaction
to them.
In an age of large-scale corporate operation
and takeover, it is gratifying to find a company ouch
as Halls able to compete successfully in the market
place and still retain its South Australian identity
and ownership.
I congratulate Halls on their 120th anniversary
and hope that in the years to come they will continue
to share in the prosperity of South Australia.
