After 5 years of research & development, and the completion of 3 large commerical pilot projects in South Korea

Established by Tony Han (CEO) in 2012 to commercialize the patented core sunlighting technology developed by
Mr Sedae O (CTO)

Our Technology
SUNPORTAL is a novel core sunlighting technology that :

Combines an Active Solar Collector and an Optical Lens System to gather, concentrate and transport
full-spectrum sunlight up to 200m (656ft) into the interior of a multi-storey building or underground
space where no other conventional daylighting solution can work.

Provides the highest quality of natural light without unwanted IR and UV radiation in sunny daytime
conditions

Offers a fully integrated LED back-up lighting solution to compensate for any loss of daylight in
overcast and night-time situations

Can be easily integrated into existing buildings without major structural or design changes, as well as
customized for all types and sizes of new buildings projects
How It Works
① Sunportal Solar Collector unit tracks the sun throughout the day to collect and concentrate the sunlight and then feeds it into the building.
② A series of compact Sunportal Relay Lens units are placed inside the building to capture and deliver the concentrated sunbeam emitting from the
Sunportal Solar Collector for any distance up to 200m.
③ Sunportal Tube unit is placed between Sunportal Relay Lenses in order to prevent the dust accumulation on the surface of each relay lens unit and
allow the concentrated sunbeam to shine through and illuminate the interior space even during the light transmission.
④ Sunportal Bender unit is used between Sunportal Relay Lenses to change the direction of the concentrated sunbeam.
⑤ Sunportal Splitter unit is used between Sunportal Relay Lenses to redirect a portion of the concentrated sunbeam or split it into two separate paths.
⑥ Sunportal Diffuser unit is used to convert the concentrated sunbeam into soft, diffused daylight and evenly distributes it from the ceiling.
⑦ LED Back-Up Lighting unit is integrated into each Sunportal Relay Lens and automatically turns itself on when sunlight diminishes and off when
sunlight strengthens, maintaining the original lighting design of the interior space at all times.

Sunportal CS
Designed for large scale architectural applications, it delivers more than 66,000 peak lumens of natural daylight
through a series of compact optical relay lenses (Ø200mm) with minimal light loss and colour distortion for any
distance up to 200m within a building. It also contains integrated LED lights which provide full illumination in
overcast and night-time situations.
