This product has applications to the following large rotating machinery with journal Bearings: ・ Turbine ・ Generator ・ Motor ・ Blower ・ Pump ・ Compressor Diagnostics are performed based upon the vibration spectrum. It is possible to diagnose the following 16 items: ・ Unbalance ・ Permanent bow , Lost rotor parts ・ Misalignment ・ Resonance of primary critical speed ・ Rotor crack ・ Nonsynmetrical rotor ・ Gear inaccuracy ・ Seal rub ・ Oil whirl ・ Oil whip ・ Steam whirl , Seal whirl ・ Cavitation ・ Wing vibration ・ Draft core ・ Surging ・ Partial Rub When installed in VM-773 Analysis View, this product performs analysis automatically upon vibration warning occurrence and displays the result in a pop-up window. When installed in VM-774 Remote View, this product performs only manual analysis. VM-781-1 to print the list of channel name in which a vibration warning occurs is attached to this product. CAUTION The diagnosis is the result of the process based on only the collected vibration data. There is no guarantee for the occurrence of complete loss or damage from the predicted result. 5 DIAGNOSIS SOFTWARE OPERATION MANUAL Chapter 2: INSTALLATION OF THE POPUP DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAM Chapter 2 INSTALLATION OF THE DIAGNOSIS PROGRAM 2.1 Confirming the Software Version Before the Diagnostic Program is installed, confirm that VM-773 Analysis View/VM-774 Remote View Software with version 0.9.4 or higher has been installed. For the resonance frequency of the rotating shaft ask the manufacturer or decide a tentative value by following the method below. Using the Flexible Rotor, find the nearest number of the peak frequency of the primary critical point. Using the Rigid Rotor, calculate approximately 1.4 times the rated rpm. Items to be setup, if necessary: • Fan blade number (Do not setup if it is a turbine.) • Gear tooth number For example, for the gear tooth number(driven side), if the machine has a gear, input the tooth number. If there is no gear, leave the number ‘0. • Motor pole number, Motor phase number 6 7 8 Click ‘OK’ on the ‘Diagnosis Setting’ dialog box. Repeat 3 - 6 to setup all desired measuring points to be diagnosed.
