Standard Features
Sani-Matic offers the widest variety of sizes and styles of
high-quality, sanitary Angle-Line and Straight-Line Strainers
designed for durability and reliable performance. Each
Sani-Matic strainer is manufactured in the USA and available
for quick delivery.
• 316L stainless steel construction throughout
• Standard tri-clamp connections
• EPDM tri-clamp gaskets, Teflon® encapsulated O-ring
Perforated or wedgewire inserts can be used interchangeably.
Perforated inserts require either disposable filter socks or
wire mesh overlays for fine filtration. Wedgewire offers an
effective and durable single piece insert in micron ratings
equivalent to wire mesh.
• Perforated or wedgewire strainer inserts
are interchangeable
• Sanitary finish (32Ra) – except wedgewire element
Options
• Wire mesh overlays for use with perforated insert
• Additional finishes and elastomers available

SaniClean™Strainers
The SaniClean™ strainer is a direct replacement for a Tri-Clover® style strainer. Constructed
with 316L stainless steel, this high-quality alternative gives you a choice for your in-line
strainer needs. Wire mesh overscreens with longitudinal seams fit over the heavy gauge
perforated cores to ensure a consistent diameter for the full length of the cylinder. Hemmed
seams are tacked in place to provide a finished smooth edge.

performance and value. Sani-Matic’s standard Y-Strainers are
3-A approved when using the perforated insert.
• Close-tolerance fit eliminates O-ring

If 3-A approval is required, contact a Sani-Matic
sales associate to ensure the configuration meets
all 3-A standards. Sani-Matic Y-Strainers are
engineered with a close-tolerance fitment (0.010”) at the
base of the element (see Figure 1) and do not require an
O-ring. Fewer parts result in faster, more effective cleaning,
and increased performance to save you time and money.

are interchangeable

High Performance
Benefits
Sani-Matic Basket Strainers are specially
constructed to strain particulates out of a highvolume process stream. The innovative, durable
design includes a side-inlet, which allows you to easily remove
the basket for cleaning without disconnecting the line.
Our Basket Strainers can be equipped with either a
wedgewire or perforated basket and a woven cloth insert
bag for finer straining applications. Filter bags are available
in a wide variety of media types and micron sizes, and are
designed for easy removal.
Sani-Matic’s standard Basket Strainers are 3-A approved
when using the perforated insert. If 3-A approval is required,
contact your sales representative to ensure the configuration
meets all 3-A standards.
• The lid and hand-knob closure are rated for higher
pressures than clamp-style covers for improved
worker safety
• Quick release hand knobs and hinged lid remain
attached for convenient operation
• Machined O-ring seat prevents any fluid bypass
and improves reliability

A properly sized single spray ball with the correct spray pattern
provides the necessary cleaning coverage for many tanks.
However, for tanks with baffles or agitators, a shadowing effect
occurs within the tank. The diagrams to the right show how a

Using the latest technology, Sani-Matic creates a 3-D model
of your process vessels. This allows us to engineer the most
effective static spray device and drill pattern to ensure proper
coverage of all ports and surfaces. With decades of experience in
spray technology and BioPharm CIP applications, we understand
the spray dynamics required to ensure proper flow rates,
pressures and geometries.
Precision Drilled Spray Balls
and Custom Supply Tubes
Once the spray pattern and design have been
determined, Sani-Matic will manufacture the spray balls
and supply tubes to deliver the solution. Orbital welding
of the spray balls and custom patterns drilled with a CNC
machine provide repeatable and consistent patterns.
Sanitary tube welds use orbital welding wherever
possible. All product contact welds are ground and polished to
meet your interior finish requirements.

Drop-in style washer for up to 44’ tanker.
TS-4 features a center spray ball for top
spray pattern and two multi-bore jet
nozzles for tank end washing. The vented
manhole cover has a bail handle and two
hold downs with gasket.
Drop-in style washer is ideal for tanks up to
55’ in length. The unique S-shaped manifold
combines with the rotary spray device to
create 360˚ spray coverage, allowing direct
impingement of the cleaning solution to the
entire tank. High pressure nozzles provide the
reach needed to clean long tankers.

VNE Valves
VNE 2-Way Ball Valves
Ball Valves are used in a wide variety of high-pressure
applications. Two factors make them popular:
1) A full unrestricted product flow through the valve.
2) The three-piece design, and a minimal number of bolts,
allow service to be performed without removing the
complete valve from the line.
Two-Way Ball Valves are made of T316 (CF8M)
stainless steel. PTFE seats are easily removed.
Other connections are available upon request.
Sizes from 1/2”–4” are available. VNE Ball Valves meet FDA
and 3-A requirements.

The three-point level probe maintains the correct solution
levels in a tank. 2” tri-clamp connection for mounting on
the top of each tank. Lumenite level controls are mounted
