Name of Notice
This Notice is the Telecommunications Labelling (Customer Equipment and
Customer Cabling) Amendment Notice 2011 (No. 2).

Commencement
This Notice commences on the day after it is registered.

Amendment of Telecommunications Labelling (Customer Equipment and
Customer Cabling) Notice 2001
Schedule 1 amends the Telecommunications Labelling (Customer Equipment and
Customer Cabling) Notice 2001.

Subsection 1.4(1)

CB Testing Laboratory has the same meaning as in the IECEE CB Rules of
Procedure.

Grant of Equipment Authorisation means a written authorisation issued by the FCC
or by a Telecommunications Certification Body on behalf of the FCC in accordance
with the Grant of Equipment Authorisation procedures prescribed in 47 CFR 2 of the
Code of Federal Regulations of the United States of America, as in force from time to
time.

IECEE CB Rules of Procedure means the Rules of Procedure of the IECEE
Certification Body (CB) Scheme contained in the publication ‘IECEE 02 – Scheme of
the IECEE for Mutual Recognition of Test Certificates for Electrotechnical
Equipment and Components (CB Scheme) – Rules of Procedure’ published by the
IEC and as in force from time to time.

IECEE CB Test Certificate means a certificate issued by an Issuing and Recognising
National Certification Body in accordance with the IECEE CB Rules of Procedure.

IECEE CB Test Report means a test report issued by a CB Testing Laboratory, in
accordance with the IECEE CB Rules of Procedure, which accompanies the IECEE
CB Test Certificate.

Subsection 1.4(1)

IECEE Certification Body (CB) Scheme means the ‘IECEE CB Scheme for Mutual
Recognition of Test Certificates for Electrotechnical Equipment and Components (CB
Scheme)’ established by the IEC.

Issuing and Recognising National Certification Body means an ‘Issuing and
Recognizing National Certification Body’ as defined in the IECEE CB Rules of
Procedure.

Notified Body means a body that has been designated by a member state of the
European Union, and notified to the European Commission, to assess whether
equipment meets the R&TTE Directive.

Notified Body Expert Opinion means a written statement by a Notified Body issued
in accordance with the conformity assessment procedures described in Annex IV to
the R&TTE Directive.

R&TTE Directive means the ‘Directive 1999/5/EC of the European Parliament and
the Council of the European Union of 9 March 1999 on radio equipment and
telecommunications terminal equipment and the mutual recognition of their
conformity’, as in force from time to time.

The information is:
(a)
a test report about one or more requirements of the applicable standard;
and
(b)
a written statement by a certification body about one or more
requirements of the applicable standard; and
(c)
if it is impracticable to test the item because of its size, location or
nature — a written statement by a competent body certifying that
reasonable efforts have been made to avoid a contravention of the
applicable standard; and
(d)
one or more of the supplementary compliance documents that is
relevant to the applicable standard, supported by:
(i) a test report stating that the item meets any requirements in the
applicable standard that differ from the requirements in the
standard, or the part of the standard, under which the
supplementary compliance document was given; or
(ii) a written statement by a certification body to the same effect as
subparagraph (i); or
(iii) if it is impracticable to test the item because of its size, location
or nature — a written statement by a competent body to that
effect.

For the purposes of paragraph (2)(d), a supplementary compliance document is
relevant to the applicable standard if it is mentioned in column 2 of Table 7.1
adjacent to the applicable standard mentioned in column 1 of that Table.

where section 5 of AS/CA S042.4:2010 requires that compliance
with that particular standard be demonstrated by way of a
