Therefore, it is necessary to provide the physical separation of the hot and cold air streams. This is achieved by using the ‘Climaveneta Containment System’, a simple system of modular and scalable panels that prevent hot and cold air mixing. It is a simple and effective solution that guarantees the servers will be fed with cold air and the cooling system to be more efficient. 2 l 3 CLIMAVENETA CONTAINMENT SYSTEM CONFIGURATION EASY AND FAST INSTALLATION with different kinds of cooling technologies: - INVERTER - InRow / Enclosure - Cooling Door Cold Corridor Containment, which provides strict control of the air feeding the servers. Hot Corridor Containment, which confines hot discharge air from servers. Both the Hot and Cold Corridor Containment Systems represent the perfect solution to increasing the efficiency of the Data Center. PERFECT INTEGRATION SPACE OPTIMIZATION FOR APPLICATIONS WITH OR WITHOUT RAISED FLOOR CLIMAVENETACONTAINMENT SYSTEM COLD AISLE CONFIGURATION HOT AISLE CONFIGURATION The cold air extracted from the cooling system goes through the raised floor via a grid to expel the air. It is then directed to the front of the rack through the raised floor. Cold air inside the Climaveneta Containment System is directed across the whole height of the rack, avoiding mixing cold air with hot air. The air that passes through the rack absorbs the heat of the server and is then expelled from the back of the rack through the fans. Thermal distribution in one rack inside a cold aisle Well managed airflow and the control over the temperature of the air provide several advantages to the conditioning system: The cold air generated by the cooling system passes through the raised floor via a grid for the expelled air. It is then directed to the front of the rack through the raised floor where it is sucked by the rack. Cold air inside the rack becomes hot as it absorbs the heat from the server and is then ejected from the back of the rack through the fans. The Climaveneta Containment System encloses a hot aisle to collect the hot exhaust air where the air temperature is much higher than the room temperature. Higher control over the temperature Up to 30% increased efficiency thanks to a higher temperature difference between inlet and outlet air °C 18 Constant temperature on the front of the rack at any height, as the partitioning eliminates the thermal gradient normally existing. 20 22 25 Thermal distribution in a rack in raised-floor data centers This means that the difference between the air temperature in the corridor and the cooled air through the cooling system is sufficiently high (>15°C) to ensure the greatest efficiency of the system. 29 The cold air containment system ensures the increased efficiency of the whole cooling system. Due to the cold aisle being contained there is no chance of the hot exhaust air mixing with the cold inlet air; therefore, the air needed is just inside the aisle. The result is a considerable increase in the system efficiency. This configuration ensures higher efficiency of the system because of the isolation of the hot air from the rest of the room, without changing the room temperature. 32 35 38 42 KEY BENEFITS KEY BENEFITS Consistent temperature and humidity levels Constant temperature at any height of the rack Return Air Plenum Higher efficiency compared to traditional cooling systems Roof Panel CRAC Improved Flexibility CRAC Room neutral design Higher thermal efficiency and reduced energy consumption Separation of the hot air stream from the rest of the room Reduced space occupancy Baffle Baffle Floor Brush Seals 4 l 5 CLIMAVENETA CONTAINMENT SYSTEM Floor Brush Seals CLIMAVENETACONTAINMENT SYSTEM TECHNICAL FEATURES AND DATA THERMAL INSULATION Coverage of transparent Plexiglas panels to maintain thermal insulation and allow light to enter.
