purge and TAME the out of control
box. Having the documentation you
need at your fingertips is the best way
to get the services your love one and
your family needs. !

Bring a game to share, get a drink and

we tested a game called Scrutineyes™ where we formed up two
person teams and competed on good
observation skills and vocabulary.
The teams of those on the spectrum
beat the neurotypicals, as usual. !
Snacks and drinks are available to
purchase. Small door prizes! spokane@autismsocietyofwa.org !

ASW has received a small grant for

School Age Family Outing!
The September Family Event was
held at the Junior League’s Touch a
Truck Event. Children climbed up
and checked out various types of
trucks corralled at the Spokane
Community College parking lot. !
This group finds an inexpensive event
for families of the school age children
each month. It is common for parents
of kids with autism to experience
family isolation. See the Autism 200
webinar series about this on next
page.

The Family Support Conference is a
long-standing event that brings families and friends together to learn,
share and recharge their batteries. A
keynote speaker and break-out sessions on topics of interest to parents,
family members, and professionals
supporting people with developmental disabilities make it a rich and full
