Markets • Wastewater • Reuse • Process Water Applications • Disinfection • TOC Reduction A s the world leader in UV systems design, WEDECO is proud to offer the LBX Series disinfection products for wastewater and reuse applications. The LBX line was designed with municipal customers in mind, offering a wealth of critical standard features and convenient options. Thirty years of UV disinfection experience is packed into the LBX Series. Designed for superior disinfection performance by providing effective dose delivery at rated flow, WEDECO engineers developed the LBX from the ground up by focusing on three critical elements for UV system performance; the UV lamp, the power supply/controls, and the engineered vessel. XLR Spektrotherm® HP Lo-Hi Lamp Technology LBX Series products utilize high performance, cost effective Spektrotherm® HP lamps. Spektrotherm® HP low pressure, high intensity (Lo-Hi) lamps are the most powerful monochromatic lamps on the market today, offering up to five times the intensity of Lo-Lo lamps per unit length at the optimum UV wavelength (254 nm) for disinfection. The result for customers is maximum performance with reduced operating costs in a very compact design. All WEDECO UV lamps pass through an exclusive quality assurance program which allows WEDECO to back the Spektrotherm® HP lamps with a 12,000 hour warranty. Electronic Power Supply and Controls Performance Engineered Vessel The performance of the LBX is enhanced by a state-of-the-art electronic “smart” HP ballast and SEC microprocessor control system. Designed to withstand tough municipal environments, LBX electronics are housed in a compact, UL 508A listed NEMA 12 painted steel enclosure for mounting up to 75 feet away from the vessel. The LBX Series also offers the user substantial safety and warning features through its clean combination of a 4 row by 16 character digital display, and LED indicator lamps. Intensity distribution and vessel hydraulics are critical to reliable UV dose delivery. LBX vessels are computer optimized (CFD) to ensure uniform UV intensity distribution, and engineered flow baffles within each vessel ensure proper hydraulic residence time distribution (HRT) for reliable dose delivery. LBX Series units are assembled in the Charlotte, NC facility from high quality, heavy gauge 316L stainless steel, which is passivated and electropolished. Standard LBX vessels can be mounted vertically or horizontally and include ANSI raised face flanges, a UV sensor port, and provisions for a thermal overheat switch (see options below). Display, Warning and Control Features • Password Protected • Six User Selectable Languages (SEC Controller) (English, German, Spanish, French, Italian & Portuguese) • Digital Lamp Running Time Indication (Hours) • Operating Status (Normal, Warning or Alarm) • Digital Lamp Intensity Indication (mW/cm2) (See Note 1 Below) • User Selectable 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA Signal for Remote Intensity Monitoring (See Note 1 Below) LBX Series Options • UCA Sensor – Highly Accurate, Dry Sensor (No Need to Drain Vessel for Removal) • "Z” Configuration Vessel • Stainless Steel Enclosure • Automatic Wiping System (Electric) • Thermal Overheat Protection Switch • Alarm Output Contacts • “Ready For Flow” Output Note 1: These features are only available with optional UV sensor. Customer can combine intensity signal with the unit flow rate (provided by others) for continuous dose monitoring & control by a PLC, DCS or SCADA system. The new spectrum emission controller (SEC) handles all control and monitoring functions Electronic ballasts ensure that the Spektrotherm® HP UV lamps operate costeffectively UCA Sensor All specifications are subject to change without notice.
