Everyone is welcome to participate in the 5K/1K event! Parents or friends of any age are
welcome to register for the 1K fun run. Bring the whole family!
Registration will be at the Medford City Park at the start/finish line near the swimming pool.
Registration opens at 5:30pm and continues until the start of the race at 7:00pm. The 5K is a timed
race and medals will be awarded to the top male and female finisher in each age group. Glow
sticks and 5K t-shirts are included for each participant. Water and fruit will be provided. Other
food and beverages will be available after the race coinciding with the third annual Park Fest,
sponsored by the City of Medford and Medford Chamber of Commerce. Please contact Carly

Registration fee may be paid with cash or check. Please make checks payable to Weather Shield
Employee LITE Foundation. The LITE Foundation will donate all proceeds from this event to Huey’s
Hideaway, the Children’s Museum that will be opening in Medford, Wisconsin. The Weather Shield
Employee LITE Foundation is a charitable organization led by the employees of Weather Shield.

The race will start in the driveway to the Medford City Park, near the corner of
Wheelock Avenue and North Washington Avenue. At the end of the driveway, it will
turn left on Wheelock Avenue and run east to Centennial Parkway, where it turns left
again and runs north to Allman Street. Then it will turn right on Allman Street to the Pine
Line Trail and head north to the turnaround barrel. The race will then lead back to the
finish line following the same route. The starting line and finish line are at the same
location. There will be a person to direct you at each intersection.

No entry will be accepted without a signature. This contains a release and a waiver. Signing it precludes any claim
for injury. I know that participating in this race is a potentially hazardous activity. I understand that I should not
participate in the event unless I am properly trained and am in good physical condition. Knowing these facts, I am
entering this event at my own risk and assume all risk and responsibilities for injuries I may incur or cause as a result of
my participation in this event. In consideration of the acceptance of my entry, I for myself, and anyone entitled to
act on my behalf, agree not to hold any and all participating promoters, sponsors, supporters, volunteers, directors,
employees or agents of Taylor County, or the City of Medford and the officers and employees of such entities, or any
group or individual not identified herein, responsible for any claims. Furthermore, I release and waive the promoters,
sponsors, representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this
event even though the liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the person named in this
waiver. I verify that I have full knowledge of the risks involved in this event and that I am physically fit and sufficiently
trained to participate in it and that I have read and understand this waiver and release before signing it. I grant
permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this
event for any legitimate purpose.
