CLACKAMAS
As a nonprofit organization, we set aside a certain percentage of our revenue each year to care for underserved community members and address social and environmental factors that create barriers to health. Our carefully selected philanthropic investments, coupled with our high-quality care and service, are an investment in the total health of the communities where we all live, work, and play.
Here are some highlights of our work to improve the health of the Clackamas County area:
• We invested more than $6,211,360 through our Medical
Financial Assistance program in the Clackamas County area, resulting in 84,493 underinsured/noninsured medical visits and
28,712 prescriptions filled from 2010 to 2012.
• We contributed more than $45 million to high-risk insurance pools in Oregon from 2010 through 2012 to support people unable to access health care due to pre-existing conditions.
• As part of our three-year, $1.2 million Clinical Quality
Improvement Initiative (2012 to 2014), the Clackamas County
Health Department is developing a health engagement program to improve diabetes management for Latino patients.

(2011 to 2013), the Neighborhood Health Center is demonstrating population-based oral health service delivery to
