FAK foot and palm switches with their large operating surfaces
can be actuated with the flat of the hand, the closed fist, wearing
gloves, with the elbow or foot. In other words, they allow the
operator to react quickly. The FAK is a very robust component,
complete with IP69K protection, and is designed for use in the
most demanding environments. It can even tolerate being cleaned
with a high-pressure water or steam jet.

All Moeller Emergency-Stop pushbuttons are tamper proof in
compliance with ISO 13 850/EN 418. The opening of the safety
circuit will always cause the annunciation circuit to close and the
actuator to stay-put.
Rated to IP66 or IP67, 69K protection, various types of EmergencyStop pushbutton are available in the RMQ-Titan range. These are
pull-to-release and twist-to-release with or without illumination,
and key-operated. In the illuminated version an integral LED is
permanently lit or lights up when actuated, as required, ensuring
it is easily visible even in darkened rooms, without having to fit a
separate indicator light.

from Klaxon Signals
Xenon beacons give a 360° signal and are regarded as
one of the most effective means of signalling available
for the process control and status indication markets.
The Xenon beacon is also ideal for hazard
warning in both the industrial and the fire
warning market. The principle behind the
Xenon or strobe beacon is that a discharge
capacitor operating through a converter circuit
ignites Xenon gas inside a tube creating
a brilliant flash of light. Xenon gas ignites
virtually instantaneously so maximum

The DIN base and compact Xenon beacons are ideal for more local
signalling although they still produce twice the visual impact of a fire
alarm beacon. With the two options offering standard UK mounting
and the mainland European DIN mount.

X500 SERIES
Klaxon Signals has developed an all encompassing range of
industrial warning devices to meet the needs of these specialised
applications. The range varies from traditional robust motor driven
sirens to the more sophisticated electronic sirens.
The high output Xenon is the big brother of the range and is one of
the highest output beacons on the market, producing 24 joules
of flash energy. Ideal for isolated areas where a signal
has to be seen over long distance.

SM500F Field Mountable Videographic
Data Recorder
The SM500F is a field-mountable videographic recorder. Its unique enclosure design enables wall-,
pipe- or panelmounting of the unit. Process data is displayed clearly to the local operator through
a variety of display formats, including chart, bargraph and digital indicator displays. Additionally,
process data is logged securely to the removable SD memory card. Ethernet communications
provide convenient remote monitoring of the process
and access to logged data.
Electronic alternative
The ESS20 physically isolates single faulty outputs, while allowing all other load circuits
connected to the same SMPS to continue working as normal. It is designed to limit
the prospective load current to a maximum of 1.8 times the rated current and rapidly
disconnects the output in the event of an overload or short circuit. For optimum adjustment
to the particular application, the current rating of the ESS20 is switch selectable for 3A or
6A. An LED and integral auxiliary contacts provide status and failure indication for visual
verification and as a signal to a logic controller or factory software. An On/Off button also
enables manual isolation of the load circuit.

Grabwire switches are a convenient way of installing two-rope pull switches on a long rope run,
with common wiring and two heads. When the units are correctly installed and set, the system
switching contacts are closed allowing the system to operate. If the grabwire is pulled the switch
contacts will open, providing operator safety. Typical applications: - conveyors, assembly lines,
transfer lines, packaging machinery, process equipment.
