Electrical Machines
Electrical Machines, including motors, generators and
transformers, are used widely in industrial, commercial
and domestic applications and consume an estimated 60%
of global electricity supply.
Understanding the design, operation, control and
maintenance of these machines is therefore a core part
of an Engineer or service technician’s training.
The HFT Education Electrical Machines range has been
designed for studying the most commonly used electrical
machines, their applications and combined operation, in a
safe educational environment.
The range includes single-phase and three-phase AC
machines, DC machines, brushless motors, permanent
magnet machines, servo drives, transformers, motor and
transformer winding equipment and the power supplies,
loads and instrumentation required for comprehensive
experimentation.
Each electrical machine has a male and female coupling,
allowing multiple machine shafts to be connected for more
advanced experimentation.
The machines are rated at 300-500W and are real industrial
machines, that give scalable, repeatable results that
represent real applications. HFT Education can supply both
100-200W and 1kW Electrical Machines on request.
