INDUCTION LIGHTING SYSTEMS
“ENDURANCE LIGHTING.”
Appleton® Induction Lighting Systems. 100,000 hours of maintenance-free
Take a new induction lighting technology and install it in the two
best luminaires on the market for hazardous and corrosive conditions
and you have long-lasting protection for all of your lighting needs.
100,000 hours of virtually maintenance-free operation translates into less
shutdowns and fewer man hours spent servicing lamps.
The 100,000 hour Mercmaster™ III
Induction Lighting System.
The Mercmaster III can be used indoors or out, in
wet locations, adverse conditions or industrial areas.
Because it is enclosed and gasketed, you’ll never
have to worry about corrosion from chemicals or
vapors.
Induction Lighting is a breakthrough technology. At the core of the
lamp is an induction coil, connected and powered by an electronic unit
at the base of the lamp, which produces a magnetic field. The glass
assembly and the material captured within it, surround the induction
coil producing UV light.

Operates safely in 40 ˚C ambients
Meets most application requirements.
(no relamping) illumination in hazardous locations.
The inner portion of the glass is lined with a phosphor coating very
similar to that in fluorescent lamps. When energized by the UV light,
the phosphor coating luminesces, producing light.
The 100,000 hour Code•Master 2™
Induction Lighting System.
The explosionproof Code•Master 2 thrives where reliability is critical, relamping is difficult, and extreme
conditions make safety a priority. You can find it
lighting places where volatile chemicals, plastics,
paints or vapors are present.
By comparison, an incandescent lamp lasts an average of 2,000 hours.
A pulse start metal halide lamp lasts an average of 15,000 hours. An
induction system lasts fifty times longer than incandescent and seven
times longer than pulse start metal halide, has higher color rendering
and can start instantly with no warm up period. It becomes clear that an
Appleton induction system is the smart choice for lighting that is used in
locations where changing lamps is dangerous or operationally inefficient.
