16" LED FLOODLIGHT INSTRUCTION MANUAL Model: FLDX84LED 84 Watt LED FloodLight INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT: READ BEFORE REMOVING FIXTURE FROM CARTON. RETAIN FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. SAFETY: This fixture must be wired in accordance with the NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE and applicable local codes and ordinances. A person familiar with the construction and operation of the product and the hazards involved must install this product. A qualified licensed electrician should complete all work. Proper grounding is required for safety. WARNING: Make certain power is OFF before installing or maintaining fixture. RISK OF INJURY: Fixture may become damaged and/or unstable if not installed properly. TRUNION MOUNTING - For floodlights supplied with a trunion mount to any surface, with 5/16" bolts you provide. Make sure the fixture is securely fastened. AIMING - Loosen adjustment bolt and adjust the fixture to the desired position. Tighten adjustment bolts securely. NOTE: Remove drain hole plugs after installation (if necessary). If fixture is aimed upward, remove the (2) drain holes in the back (of housing). If fixture is aimed downward, remove the (2) drain holes in the front (of housing). SLIPFITTER MOUNTING - For floodlights supplied with a slipfitter mount slipfitter over tenon (after wiring process). Securely tighten two allen head set screws. Slipfitter is designed to fit over 2 3/8" tenon or pipe. AIMING - Remove side adjustment panel by removing locking screws. Loosen adjustment bolt and adjust the fixture to the desired position. Tighten adjustment bolt. Replace side adjustment panel and replace screws. NOTE: Remove drain hole plugs after installation. If fixture is aimed upward, remove the (2) drain holes in the back (of housing). If aimed downward, remove the (2) in the front (of housing). Note: Do not open fixture or remove heat sink, doing so will void warranty. Use Supply wire (3' SJO cord supplied) rated for 90°C. 1. Turn off electrical supply at the breaker. 2. Follow all local electrical codes for wiring and grounding requirements. 3. Check to make sure that the supply voltage to the fixture is compatible with the fixture. (120-277v) 4. Connect the white fixture wire with white service wire. 5. Connect the black fixture wire to the black service wire. 6. Connect the green fixture wire to the ground wire. 7. Make sure all connections are secure using approved connecting devices. 8. Turn on electrical supply at the breaker. TROUBLESHOOTING Check that: 1. The line voltage at the fixture is correct. 2. The fixture is wired properly. 3. The fixture is grounded properly. 4. The photocell, if installed, is proper voltage and wattage. 5. There is no reflected light back into the photo cell, causing the fixture to turn off. Atlas warrants that this product is free from defects in materials and workmanship for up to 5 years from date of shipment. This warranty is not applicable to, and Atlas makes no warranty whatsoever with respect to, any fixture not installed and operated in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC), the Standards for Safety of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL), Standards for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) or, in Canada, the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). Nor is this warranty applicable to any fixture which has not been installed and operated in accordance with Atlas’ specifications and wiring diagrams or fixtures which have been submitted to abnormal operating conditions. Atlas extends this express limited warranty only to the original or first end-user purchaser. Atlas shall correct any defects, at Atlas‘ option, by either repairing any defective part or parts or by replacing any defective part or parts or by making available a new fixture. Our guarantee liability extends only to the repair or replacement of the defective part, and no labor charges for correction of the defect by repair or replacement will be paid by Atlas Lighting Products unless prior written authority has been granted. NO IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE SHALL APPLY BEYOND THE AFOREMENTIONED WARRANTY PERIOD. The foregoing warranty is exclusive of all other statutory, written or oral warranties and no other warranties of any kind, statutory or otherwise, are given or herein expressed. This warranty sets forth Atlas’ obligations and responsibilities regarding its fixtures and is the exclusive remedy available to the claimant. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY. Under no circumstances, whether as a result of breach of contract, breach of warranty, tort, strict liability or otherwise, will Atlas be liable for consequential, incidental, special or exemplary damages, including, but not limited to, loss of profits, loss of use or damage to any property or equipment, cost of capital, cost of substitute product, facilities or services, down time costs or claims of claimant’s customers. Atlas’ liability for all claims of any kind or for any loss or damages arising out of, resulting from or concerning any aspect of this warranty or from the fixture or services furnished hereunder, shall not exceed the price of the specific fixture or fixtures which gives rise to the claim.
